Set in the Black Forest, this traditionally-run hotel is quietly located in the spa town of Sankt Märgen. Hotel Hirschen features a gym, a sauna, and massage treatments can be booked. The soundproofed guest rooms feature wooden furniture and come with a TV and a seating area. The bathrooms are en-suite with a shower, and a hairdryer is provided. The rustic-style hotel serves German cuisine and regional specialities, and special dietary menu can be requested. A hearty buffet breakfast is prepared in the dining area every morning. Very good value for money in this idyllic setting of the Black Forest. Hiking trails right outside the door, excellent food and service. At 70.00cad per night including a full buffet breakfast this is a find! Also great food in the evening and a reasonable wine list. Staff spoke very little English but made up for it in friendliness, and they appreciated my efforts at a little German.

Angenehmes großzügiges Hotel in Dorfmitte. Ich steige dort immer wieder gern ab. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Große Zimmer.

Ich habe das Hotel vordergründig wegen meinem Hund gewählt, um mit diesem Silvester in der Stadt zu entkommen. Diesen Gedanken hatten wohl mehrere Hundebesitzer. So eine ruhige, relaxte und wohlwollende Atmosphäre von seiten der Hoteliers und Angestellten habe ich selten erlebt. Frühstück und Gastronomie waren vorzüglich. Gleich hinter dem Hotel beginnen die Wanderwege, was brauchen Mensch und Hund mehr Werde ich wieder buchen. Grüße aus Freiburg - Sabine Schmieder

Freundlichkeit Zimmer abgenutzt, riechen muffig, Bad total klein. Frühstück wenig im Angebot, dauert lange bis nachgelegt wird

Fruehstueck sehr dürftig, nicht sehr ansprechend, lieblose Präsentation. Bad ist eine Katastrophe, man kann nicht verhindern, dass beim Duschen Das ganze Bad geflutet wird, ein Duschvorhang könnte da helfen. Dicke Staubschicht über dem Kopfende des Bettes!

Goed ontbijt met heerlijke broodjes, ruime keuze uit hartig en zoet beleg. Vriendelijk personeel. Woensdag is het restaurant gesloten, maar hotelgasten kunnen wel in het restaurant eten, maar dan moet je het wel even melden. Wij hadden kamer nummer 11 in het bijgebouw. Ruime kamer met een heel smal balkon (waar net 1 stoel kon staan) over de hele breedte van de kamer. Je kunt dus wel buiten zitten als je wilt. Rustiger kamers nr 6 t/m 9 in het bijgebouw. Deze liggen aan achterzijde bijgebouw. Zijn wel kleiner maar hebben een groter balkon aan de zonzijde. Erg kleine en oude TV. Je moet er echt dichtbij gaan zitten om beeld goed te kunnen zien. Geen standaard om koffer op te zetten. Vrij veel verkeerslawaai.
