This modern 2-star hotel is a 5-minute walk from Koblenz's main train station and old quarter. The Deutsches Eck confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers is a 25-minute walk away.
Score from 321 reviews Good
Late check in and awkward stairs
Decoration Breakfast Price
Beds and wooden floor quite noisy
Going across the river in an old ferry was great. Parking is easy to find and cheap. The house is full of character.
The late check in.
Warm friendly WELCOME even at midnight due to our hold up on the Motorway. Very quirky and interesting in the Dinning Room. Ongoing renovation without interruptions. Thanks Albert & Diane
No TV in room, but this is why we sleept better
Altgough its written all rooms with WC they don't have shower in every room
The stuff and the breakfast is awfully nice
The room is a little bit tiny
last minute late booking.
no lift, staff had gone home early an hour before quoted check in period finished. trains kept me awake
Excellent location. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Owner shared a bottle of beer on arrival. Breakfast was good, but supplies were slow in being replenished. Work was being done on the hotel, so there was a bit of inconvenience. Would recommend it for a short stay.
value for money, good wifi access, comfortable rooms, supermarket 2 min away
staff was unpleasant, inconvenient location and hard to find
Pleasant room. Nice view of the Rhine from room. Public parking is close to the hotel (and not expensive). Good breakfast.
Very late check-in (after 18.00), guests are gathered in the dining room for that. Ferry line to the center of city is very near, but it works only to 17.55. After that to get back from city to hotel is not so simple anymore. Near the hotel is noisy railroad.
It´s an old building, so it has a charm. Interesting concept with every room having a theme. We stayed in the Marylin Monroe-room. The host, was nice. Clean. Cheap. Nice view. Has a potencial as they are renovating.
No lift, we stayed at the top floor, but you can expect that in an old house. It seems they are renovating the other part of the building. One of the beds was saggy. Reception from 18 to 22 is amateurish. Paying cash a bit odd nowadays. A bit kitch with all the pictures in room, breakfast room and stairs, should have taken down some of them. I think it can get better with time.
Friendly host, close to the city center by crossing the Rhine with a boot. Within a 10min walk you will reach the fort. Inside the hotel looks like a museum.
Hotel has a nice decoration with plants, paintings, radio's clocks etc but it does look old. No airco in the rooms which makes it pretty hot inside. Floor & bed make a creaking sound. To expensive for what you get, we have stayed in more luxurious hotels for the same price.
when we book the room with cheap price, they didnt mention about no bathroom inside or outside or share...So, I had a bad night without shower.
Friendly staff and interior design
Beds and floor are very noisy
Breakfast. Bargain. Location. Host.
Waiting until 6pm to check in (without knowing that we would have to do this). Facilities a little worn and dated.
Late admission time.
We love loved breakfast as well as it being quiet..
The beds were very old and saggy..there wasnt any dinner options..near by..
room was very comfortable and the staff was most accommodating.
we were lucky to have had a cell phone to call the owner, as we had arrived before the registration time. otherwise we would have had to pack our bags around all afternoon.
The hotel is in a very central location just off the square and opposite the ferry landing and on the Rheinsteg path. The decor is quite unique and interesting including the collection of clocks, transistors and old photographs. The owner was very helpful as we began our Rheinsteg walk.
The hotel was being refurbished so I can't give a proper review. It was OK.
Friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast and reliable WIFI.
No shower available although website did state only wash basin in room. But had wrongly assumed shower would have been available elsewhere in hotel.Location a bit isolated from Coblenz when ferry stops at 6pm.
1. The breakfast is good. 2. It is a quite hotel so you can really rest. 3. It is near the ferry station and so you can catch a ferry and go to the old town and other tourist attractions easily after crossing the river.
1. It is on the other side of the river and a bit away from the main train station. 2. It has no bathing facilities for single room so it is quite inconvenient. 3. Few restaurants to select nearby.
Great location. Very cheap local parking. This almost made up for everything, almost. This hotel has potential - just needs a bit more effort.
Staff pretty amateurish. The 6pm check in was agonising after a long day's drive. Having to pay cash was a pain. Also no lift we were on the top floor.
Nicely located close to motorways as well as the center of Koblenz without the noise and traffic of it.
Very inconvenient if you have bags and baggages. Staff willing but not so easy to communicate in a common language (other than german or Russian).
Staff most helpful and friendly
Narrow staircase up four floors. No lift for luggage
