The Holiday Inn Berlin City Center East is located just minutes away from the historical centre of the capital, in the district of Prenzlauer Berg. The area is dominated by countless lively cafés, restaurants and pubs.

From here you can reach Berlin’s new centre, the Mitte district, in a matter of minutes. In the area around Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate you will find all the major cultural attractions, museums, theatres and shopping areas. A tram departs from right outside our front door and takes you directly to Hackescher Markt (Berlin’s “Soho”). Here you will find exclusive boutiques, trendy cafés and vibrant night clubs.

easy access to public transport into town. Friendliness of staff, they printed out the train timetable without us even having to ask.

the towels were not changed even though left on the floor and it wasn't cleaned fully during our stay (drink glasses still in room when we returned).

the curtains were not long enough to cover the windows. subsequently it was light throughout the night and impossible to sleep.

I felt the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was generally keen. The breakfast was also fine.

The worst point is the 'City Centre East' and the description that it is close to the centre. It is not in the middle as it is described and only central using public transport as opposed to on foot. I booked two double rooms but both were actually twins. The bathroom was shower only which was not specified in booking. It also did not keen temperature and ranged between scolding hot and cold.

Very clean, modern room, nice hotel overall.

The pillows were crap!! Even ordered extra ones from pillow menu, ordered firm but the were crap aswell. Only drawback.

There were no window coverings except sheers and small side curtains that were of little to no use in blocking people looking in and blocking out the early morning sun

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast.

Location was not as central as I expected. However, the metro line runs directly in front of the hotel for easy access to most of Berlin.

The breakfast was very good, yhe hotel was very nice; it is very well located in the district of Prenzlauer Berg, but a little far away from center Berlin. Ok if you like walking...
