Nice room and bath Good internet connection Very friendly staff, good service Good breakfast Good prices (also the bar)
The room was comfortable and the price was reasonable, the hotel service was really good and the staffs were very helpful and accommodating.
I found the location was abit far to the main city center
Nice convenient Hotel for short stays, very handy location close to city center as Tram is right up to the Hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. 8/10
A bit small rooms as its supposed to be a 4 star hotel, but would give it 3 only. Other wise very nice and clean.
very good location, friendly staff, great facilities. very clean & comfortable
only one device can log in to the wifi at a time
We liked everything. Stuff was more than friendly, as we arrived late at night and changed our reservation one evening before we had our thoughts but hey...no problems at all. They gave us all informations we needed during our staying...with a smile on their faces! Bus station is right outside the door, we never used as we had our car. Parking is near hotel and cost 2 eur/hour (hotel price is 10 eur/day) but across the street you can park for free :) Sundays is no fee but other days from 9am to midnight. Rooms and bath are big and comfortable and so are beds. Breakfast great, there is plenty of different food so you can pick what you like. There is a small coffee machine in room with coffee and tea bags for free. Altough hotel wass totaly booked we had rooms we asked for...quiet and on upper floor. Next stop in Berlin 100% staying here! Keep it up this way and thanx for nice experience.
This hotel is in a quiet part of Berlin but well connected to the center. The staff are very helpful and the general facilities good.
The hotel lacks in charm and character, it is just a convenient place to stay.
The Hotel I booked was the Grand City Hotel Berlin East. After arriving at the correct address I wandered around for 20mins trying to find the reception. Was very confused to find out that I had to check in at the Holiday Inn. Besides the hotel restaurants, the only eating options are kebab shops 1km away. Breakfast was very expensive, €13, but there is no other option.
Location, value for money. friendly and helpful staff.
Car park only suitable for small cars.
The stay was acceptable. The parking at the hotel was good (garage). Wi-Fi was included.
We got a smoking room although differently booked. We got a double bed although we booked a king size. No toothbrush or other things on the room. Pretty loud close to the street. No upgrade or any special treatment for my gold membership card. Much too expensive.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were really nice and modern. We slept like babies and really enjoyed our entire stay at this hotel.
Hotel is in a good location. Good breakfast. Comfortable stay all in all despite the rooms being a little bit outdated.
Exhausted from a 7-hr drive from Amsterdam to Berlin, we tried to check in early but the duty manager didn't allow us to do so. He also wasn't very accommodating, didn't even look at my booking confirmation where it was writtent that we were requesting for early check in. Please include more English channels in your cable line up!
Connection with the most important sights in the city, that is Sbahn and Tramway
Room service - unresponsive as they don't speak a word in English
- less than 10 minutes to the centre of Berlin - Tram stop right outside and a train line 5 minute walk away - Friendly and helpful staff - Offer group travel discounts at reception - Overall, excellent.
Berlin has a city tax, so check to see if it is included in your booking. The hotel may add it on when you pay, but just ask the friendly staff.
-Accessibility to and from city centre was convenient. -Breakfast was excellent, with wonderful service from attendants, esp. One Mr Aggrey.
-Shower had black algae inbetweeen the tiles on walls -Room had no socket close to bed -City tax was included in booking, but was still charged additional berlin city tax simply because it was a private booking
Breakfast is poor for what you pay, room service is not 24 hours in a 4 star hotel, bar is together with the reception, no concierge desk, no porters we had to carry our own bags, no safe in the room. Room cleanliness is poor.
Front Desk Service is not so efficient.
Large room, nice staff, good location with the tram just outside the hotel. Calm street with bohemic surroundings. Wonderful breakfast. Everything was satisfying.
They try to charge the city tax even though its included in the fee. Bring your confirmation when you check out
Very professional and service friendly staff Very modern and good looking rooms Value for money
The aircon was not working and it was extremly hot outside. Couldn't sleep at all 2 of the 4 nights I was there. The free wifi only lets you have one unit logged on. So if you work on your computer and want to use wifi on your phone at the same time, you will have to log off one to enable the other. Not cool.
Great location- nice area and close to public transport. Clean room with a nice layout.
No wifi in the room. The maids do not knock- put a sign on the door if you wish to sleep in.
Lovely reception staff. Quiet rooms. Situated very close to good tram service. We liked that we were out of city centre and near to non-touristy areas.
Nowhere to unpack into. A couple of badly placed shelves a big of hanging space but not much storage otherwise. For A six day stay we really would have liked some drawer space. A tiny bedside table was very limited.
Having used this hotel several times it is not as good as it was. Breakfast is now too expensive.
The bed linen, breakfast, how quiet it was, the spacious shower area, the nice 40 minute walk to Alexanderplatz, the very helpful staff.
Some tinned fruit in the "fresh fruit " salad at breakfast.
24 minutes by s bahn from airport, also a tram stop directly outside hotel which goes to alexanderplatz where there is a hub to access most of the city. Free WiFi but slow and had to log in frequently. Very comfy beds and breakfast pretty good, would definitely stay again
WiFi slow, room a little small
Good location, as close to train and tram services. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a balcony even though it was small. Wifi worked well and the TV has a good selection of channels in hd.
The shower could do with re grouting. Our room seemed to be next to the boiler room so a little noisy at night but soon got used to it. The shower was blocked, however when we told staff they dealt with it immediately and was fine after.
- Great Location - Certainly value for money
