Holiday Inn Berlin City Center East    

Spacious room, connected by a door with our friends' room. Room facing backyard so very quiet and comfortable. Huge bathroom, everything clean and practical. Tram station right in front of the hotel, leading to Alexanderplatz - very convenient, excellent connections both to airport and all other parts of the city.

Only 1 hour of free internet per day. Breakfast is not worth the money - better book witghout it, there is Netto and Lidl right accross the street from the hotel as well as a bakery nearby where you can get anything you want for breakfast.

Staff is nice and helpful. Fresh and good breakfast, Tram M2 is right in front of the hotel, the transportation is very convenient.

none of the above.The hotel was clean but not in a very nice area friendliness of stsaff wasn't to bad .would not stay there again certainly would not recommend it.Sorry.

wifi or cable internet are not included and are extremely expensive! On the booking it was described that cable internet is free in all hotel, which is not true! ans that the price of wifi is 5€/day, which is also not true! (both are 12.5€/day!). When I went to ask about the free cable internet the staff was really unkind, saying that it is 12.5€/day and not for free. When I show on my cell phone that that is what is stated in the booking.com they didn´t believed me and asked to see again. He took my cell phone and went to show to other person inside of other room, and very rudely asked me to go outside of the door (!) while they were holding my cell phone inside. Then the answer was: "no, it´s incorrect. It´s a mistake. There´s no free internet". Period. Very unpleasent experience with the staff. (However, of note, the girl that received me when I left was very nice and kind - so it´s not a general bad feeling towards all staff..)

Would have been great to have free Wi-fi, One hour is helpful but for business its of limited use, and the costs to purchase i thought were quite expensive.

Everything , as well as the fact that the rooms are quite large for European standards.

Have to realize that there is some underground rumbling because of the various rail lines, so, some noise very early in the day. But, this is a worthwhile trade-off, as the transportation system is so efficient and inexpensive, and allows one to get around very, very nicely.

The tram was in front of the hotel and within 10 min you are in the city centre of east Berlin. Parking can be free for you when you find a parking place around the hotel, this will take around 5 minutes surging. Breakfast is fine and you have enough variaty when you stay a few days. Our shower was broken but after our notice at the desk fixed in a few hours. We had an upgrade for a queenroom/bed but I think there wasn't really a big difference with a normal room. Tickets for the subway, bus, etc are supplied at the reception and you can put this on your bill to pay at the end of your stay

Very clean, comfortable and quiet with easy access to tram.

No safe in the room which is unusual for a hotel of this type. Pillows rather too large.

did not think it was a four star hotel.bar was poor and expensive.air conditioning did not work very well.rang house keeping for an iron and got no answer had to go down to get one myself at reception was told they do not work all day but i did point out i had rang morning afternoon and night so when did they work.

the "free internet at the lobby" is actually 1 hour a day of really slow connection...

The hotel is out of the main area but the M2 Tram makes everything easy to get to. The hotel staff were some of the best I have seen in Europe. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they tolerated my butchering of the German language and even helped me correct some of it for use later. The rooms were nice and quiet. If you opened the door to the small standing room only balcony, there would be much, more noise. Breakfast was a very good assortment to choose from. We plan to stay here again next year.

One can always find something to complain about but the positives FAR outweigh the negatives. The out location of the hotel is made not bad at all with the use of the Tram. It did not hinder us in anything we wanted to do in Berlin.

Location

Have stayed there previously on two occassions. This time was expensive as Berlin marathon was same weekend. but we reaised the rate we were paying for the days after the event was considerably higher than other guests. Only good value if rate is considerably discounted.

Clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very conveniently located to the tram and bus, but it does take10 -12 minutes to travel to the city center. Grocery and bakery stores very nearby.

Good location, city centre very easily reachable by tram stopping in front of the hotel. Wi-Fi working very well.

breakfast always the same - becomes boring after 3 days, internet access in room should be free whole day and need easy access informations.
