Holiday Inn Express Berlin City Centre West

Clean, modern, new, great location. When planning my city trip I spent over 4 hours searching for the best fit considering location and price. This hotel fully fulfilled my expectation. Located just at the bus stop 100 3 stops from ZOO train station, 5 minutes walk from KADEWE and 25 minutes walk from Postdammer Platz. Has cheap breakfast and internet connection, offers affordable bike rental, rooms are a bit smaller but clean and comfortable, batroom was clean and modern, has even kettel for tea and coffee. Ladies at the reception are pleasant and helpfull, stored our luggage after check out. Would come definitely back one day.

The hotel was perfect for us. Location and friendly staff added to the enjoyment.

Very well located in Berlin, next to Bus100 stop and 2 blocks away from a metro station. The hotel has a small parking which is not expensive (good alternative when travelling by car). Breakfast was quite good for price.

Very small room. Need to live out of the suitcase as there is no closet. During our stay, the heating system was on all time, making it almost imposible to sleep at night. Needed to open the window (it was 3 c outside). It was not possible to regulate the room temperature.

Efficient helpful staff. Reasonable breakfast.Some thought put into the room layout - night light in the shower room was a nice touch.

Very busy breakfast room meant getting a table at peak times could be a problem.

Staff at front desk were very helpfull, especially new trainee Patricia, she helped us with city maps and where to go and she always had a smile on her face and we felt she really wanted to help us.

If possible to add a few more screens for internet, as only 1 is at this hotel.

The hotel was new, clean, comfortable. Good breakfast. Great shower. Good location for visiting the eastern and western parts of Berline. Convenient to S-bahn, U-bahn, and bus transportation. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Good price.

No - thought it was perfect for being a tourist in Berlin.

The hotel has a good location close to the Kurfürstendamm and within walking distance of the city centre. The hotel is relatively new and offers nice and well furnished rooms.

I use a wheelchair, and requested qt time of booking, a disabled room. I did not get this until the second night of my stay after being told by staff there were no disabled rooms available. I thought this strange, as I appeared to be the only guest going around the hotel with any sort of impairment!

The check in and out was first class in terms of speed. Room excellent and breakfast very good.

The breakfast area was busy and you just had to be patient to obtain a table and self serve your food. Not much can be done if the whole hotel arrives at more or less the same time, but a bit of additional clearing up could have freed up more space. But not a problem really, as no rush.

Location, price (compared to other Berlin hotels), breakfast was a good selection and quality again for the price compared to other Berlin hotels. Clean.

Rooms are a little small, Ok for business but if you are staying a bit longer lack of storage is not so good. Had a major problem with the room being far too hot and the air con system not being able to put out cool air. Reception told us that the system outs out cool air in the summer only. Then at a certain date it switches over to warm air only for winter. If you happen to stay in autumn and it is warm outside you may well get warm air only which makes the room very hot at night. Windows only open ( for safety reason) a very small amount. We did change rooms to a lower floor and at the back and it was a bit better. The staff were very responsive to this - it was easy to see that we were not the first to complain about this.
