Hard to get to. Area of the hotel is dubious. Dinning area is cramped

great location just in front of the train station well connected with the airport, good breakfast buffet german style (no sweet food as cakes)

- air conditioning didn't do a good job during a warm (23 C) day, opening the window comes with a lot of noise - request a room NOT facing the street - there are street cars passing throughout the night, also on weekdays

The staff at the desk was friendly and helpful: this was very important for me as I was traveling alone and I am a woman. I felt secure and accompanied. They spoke enough english, which is important when you are a tourist coming from a different country. The ambiance was pleasant, the breakfast delicious and the location perfect.

The location was great, across the street is the main tram station and such, which is where all the historical stuff (and some of the best ethnic restaurants I've found in Germany thus far in the last several years I've been living hear), and many of the better local nightlife clubs and pubs are there. The staff of the hotel was friendly, the place well kept for its age and such, though don't go expecting it to be extremely nice either. There is parking - cheap parking (free on weekends) - at the parking lot of the Astoria which is a less than five minute walk from the Best Western. There is also a limited number of parking spaces for 10euros a day at the BW, so parking shouldn't be too much of an issue except during high traffic periods (the Wave Gotik Getreffin is a fun time to go, but never expect parking - anywhere - during this time.) The breakfast on offer was your typical, but for the price, most of the time you're just better off going across the street to the city center. There's a Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger King, and a few cheap bakeries literally, like, right there. And the tram station also has a very large amount of easy to grab food too. Basically, the proximity and great location of the hotel makes it so that you're honestly better off just taking a short walk where you can find wonderful food carts, breakfast places with fresh, fluffy waffles, so on, so forth.

I specifically chose the Best Western because it claims to have air conditioning/climate control. What the room had, was a dial that went to a vent that barely blew any air at all. As someone who gets hot very easily, and then gets migraines from the heat, having a room cool enough is a necessity that I was willing to pay for. The cost of the hotel was such that I could have just gone to a hostel for a week or two and gotten all the same amenities for less, since the only reason I went with the Best Western over a hostel was the hope of the advertised air conditioning. I was very lucky that the temperatures didn't rise, and instead, went down, during my visit, so that an open window was sufficient to keep the room from getting stuffy. The other thing is the mattress... The mattress was rickety, shaky, and if my husband breathed deeply (and he is a very, very thin man), the bed shook. It was like a low quality trampoline. If it weren't for the bed and the lack of ac (since the ac was the only reason I chose to pay triple the amount of a night in a hostel, even if I didn't wind up needing it), I would like this Best Western a great deal.

Great location. It's good to have tea making facility in room. Breakfast is good too.

Staff is not professional. We asked about any department stores around, and the staff answered there is only one under the central station. But there are several BIG department stores in 10 mins walk away.

The staff was friendly, helpful, happy and smiling. The breakfast was excellent!

Pillows far too soft! I would have liked at least one much firmer one. It was obvious to me that one of the reception staff was irritated at having to find out train information for me. She thought I should have simply gone over to the station.

It was a pleasant stay. Been travelling for 3 months and the breakfast was one of the best. Location to the railway station excellent and just walked under the road to xmas markets.

Had stayed before when it was a Holiday Inn, and decided not to come back, as the rooms, and particularly bathrooms are unacceptably tiny, but I hadn't realised that the hotel had changed it's name, and I booked by mistake. Never again. There is a smell of sewage in the bathroom of room 102.

It is close to the city's main attractions and it is opposite the main train station.

Lack of available parking space other than in in Parkhaus opposite statio. Not very far away, admittedly, but those like me who have a walking impediment find it difficult to transport luggage, esp. in bad weather. Standard lamp in room 702 non-functional. Decor in corridors - carpets etc - rather scruffy

The staff was friendly. Though I lived in a room on the street side of hotel, there was very quiet inside (with closed windows), one can sleep without any problems. The room was quite nice and clean and contained everything that might be needed. Internet was for free and fast. Breakfast was included in price.

There was little dust in the corners and the room was overheated (the heating was already set to 0) to my point of view.

Polite staff, a rich breakfast, in walking proximity to the train station, shopping malls and downtown Leipzig.

Location and good breakfast

i asked for a quiet room, but found very noisy trams on the street from about 0330 onwards. This seriously disturbed my sleep and had I known I was to be allocated a room overlooking the street I would have gone elsewhere.A pity I wasn't told this before they took my money! The room stank of stale smoke.Again,I would prefer it if I had been given a choice
