It was so good, we changed our return route to stay for a few more nights. First class service!!! No bar or hot drink facilities in the room. There was a mini bar in the room. |

The hotel has a very convenient location for exploring Heidelberg. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful, carrying our bags, giving really clear directions to the car park and even boiling a kettle for us so that we could make a cup of tea late one evening! The hotel directly overlooks the Neckar River, which is a lovely location. However, the traffic noise from the road below meant we had to close our window at night as we are not accustomed to traffic noise, but the room was not too hot, and a fan was provided. I only mention it so that other travellers can make an informed choice - it wasn't a big deal for us. |

Located very conveniently in the old city of Heidelberg. The internet is not free, charged per hour and expensive. This internet facility is now a basic necessity for travellers and should be provided free of charge. |

The location is particularly good. The room was quiet, clean and well serviced. Breakfast is too expensive for the American tourist. The price may be fine for businessmen on an expense account but not for tourists. The window facing the river was clouded due to a broken seal so the view was not what it should have been. |

Friendliness and helpfulness of reception staff. The location is perfect Breakfast was poor, by German standards - and poor value. Ditto coffee. |

staff were excellent and very attentive. room was nice, with great view of river. Great location, walkable to everything. parking was a little difficult, but staff suggested nearby parking garage which worked great and they gave us a discounted pass. |

In the center of the old city, food and drink were good quality Somewhat noisy, noise isolation seems bad in rooms |

The location was perfect for meandering around Heidelberg, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was charming and the hotel had a lot of character. I was on the top floor and during the day it was really hot, but at night, with the windows open, it was quite comfortable. |

Nicely renovated older place in an excellent location. Restaurant in hotel was fantastic, highly recommend! Reasonable internet rates, great service from staff. Bit expensive but worth the price for location and other benefits. |

I would have liked tea and coffee facilaties in the room. It is much more relaxing to know you can make a hot drink whenever in your room. |

The staff were extremely accommodating. Their directions and help with local parking was wonderful. Breakfast was extensive although the eggs could have been warmer. There was some noise outside the hotel in the early morning on Sunday which kept us both awake. |

The location is immediately next to the Altbruecke and conveniently close to the Schloss. The terrace restaurant in front of the hotel appeared to belong to the hotel, but in fact did not, and breakfast was not only not included but excessively priced. The highway traffic between the hotel and the river has always been noisy and a reason I would be reluctant to return. |

Located at the heart of the old town facing the river and the old bridge. Within walking distance to all the city's attractions. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent service. Great breakfast. pillows |
