This modern hostel in central Stuttgart offers brightly furnished rooms and apartments, an internet cafe, and a beer garden. The Königstraße shopping street is only about half a mile away. All of the rooms at the non-smoking ALEX 30 Hostel have shared bathrooms. Guests are welcome to use the hostel's shared kitchen throughout their stay. Wi-Fi is available in all public areas of the ALEX Hostel for a flat rate. Varied breakfast buffets are offered at the ALEX 30 in the mornings. The receptionists were speaking English good. They were friendly and helpful. Even though there was a shared bathroom and toilet it was very clean. Rooms were clean too. They charge extra for almost everything, for example TV or Internet, even city map. The room was small, dark and furnished poor. In general its ok to spent one or two nights there, but not longer.

Location to get to the rooms, you have to climb a lot of stairs, which with luggage is not very confortable. Room has basically nothing except for the beds. a bit depressive. Luggage room is in a weird basement, a lot of stairs again. No breakfast included in price. Internet access only if you pay.

la proximité au lieu de destrination Le mauvais accueil, l'incapacitée de communication de la reception, le manque de disponibliité du personnel, le manque de hospitalitée et de mise en situation face à un passager fatiguée et en route depuis l'étranger. Aucune aide ne me fut proposée pour des valises. Demander un depot de 10 euros pour une serviette minable marque en plus des relations de mefiance detestables

Es hat mir nicht gefallen. Ich hatte um ein ruhuges Zimmer gebeten und schon beim Eintreffen wurden mir bevor ich das Zimmer gesehen hatte Oropax angeboten mit dem Hinweis das die Strassenbahn zwischen 24 uhr und 4 Uhr morgens nicht fährt. . Gebucht hatte ich für 48 Euro ein Zimmer mit Bad. Bekommen habe ich ein lautes Zimmer mit Bad und Toilette arf dem Flur. Am nächsten Tag konnte ich umziehen , in ein anderes Zimmer. Etwas ruhiger mit Gemeinschaftsbad. Im Nicht belüfteten Bad war Schimmel an der Decke. Während des5%tägigen Aufenthaltes wurde Kein einziges Mal der Mülleimer geleert oder das Bett gemacht. Handtücher erhält man nur gegen 5 Euro Pfand. Fernsehen nur gegen Gebühr möglich. Leider konnte ich das Hotel nicht wechseln da in Stuttgart Messe war. siehe oben.Dreckig , laut, Schimmel . Anderes Zimmer erhalten als gebucht. Keine Handtücher , Mülleimer wird nicht geleert , Bett wird nicht gemacht , Zimmer nicht geputzt.

Habe nur 1 Nacht übernachtet und fand die überraschende Ruhe bis morgens im Haus in der 2. Etage bemerkenswert - war sicher ein Zufall, denn in Hostels ist ja eigentliche mehr "los"?? Die MitarbeiterInnen an der Reception waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und ich konnte bereits vor 14.00 Uhr das Zimmer beziehen. Die Einzelzimmernutzung (WC und Dusche auf dem Flur) für mit Frühstück insgesamt 61 EUR ist zu hoch im Hostel. Hat sicher was mit dem Ort Stuttgart zu tun, entschuldigt das aber nicht: Man bekommt normaler Weise bereits ein ** oder *** Hotel mit WC und Dusche im Zimmer und TV und Frühstück für 45 - 50 EUR. Das ist in dem Hostel kein Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Frühstück dort war low budget ...... - ist eindeutig insgesamt für eine Einzelzimmernutzung zu teuer. Dennoch war ich aufgrund der Kurzfristigkeit meiner Anmeldung zufrieden, diesen Platz noch einen Abend vor Anreise gefunden zu haben. Ich verzichte fast immer auf "Komfort" und übernachte grundsätzlich in einfachen Unterkünften oder in **Sterne-Hotels, wenn der Preis, den ich zahle, real ist und den Bedingungen entspricht......
