Ensch is located at the Roman wine route. It is the starting point for numerous trips e.g. to Trier, the oldest city of Germany.
Beside smaller and cosy towns like Bernkastel-Kues and Cochem, Luxembourg, seat of many European Institutions, is not far away, with numerous museums and other attractive sites.
Other points of interest are Idar-Oberstein (Gem Cutting Industry), the Waterfall in Saarburg, Orscholz, with the well known Saar slope, and last but not least, the Eifel, with its beautiful views and volcanic lakes.
You can also enjoy a river boat trip on the Mosel within proximity of the hotel. Most of the aforementioned attractions can be visited by bus. Beside the riverbanks are bicycle tracks, with hardly any upward gradients. Between Bullay and Trier is a regularly bus route (from May to October), specially for cyclists.
Beautiful walk tracks are waiting for the wanderers with wonderful panoramic views.
