Excellent staff, very friendly and able to provide good information about Berlin, how to get around, what to see etc. The hotel was clean, comfortable and located close to a number of transport connections. The provision of car parking at reasonable rates was also most valuable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a nice and quiet area of the city and it is also within walking distance of many cafes, restaurants, and shops. We are a young family of four and we found that the hotel room was a decent size for us. Our family especially enjoyed having access to the breakfast room that is stocked with free refreshments from 2:00-9:00. It was a nice place to go and relax after a long day of sight-seeing. We had expected two single beds for the kids but one was a comfortable day bed and the other was a roll out bed. The tv screen was tiny and the room was too sparsely decorated; there were no pictures on the walls. Our biggest complaint was that our room was on the 5th floor and two days before we left, there was another family staying in the room above us. They were so noisy even at night that we had to call reception. A man from reception answered saying that he was in the room next to them and insisted that he could not hear them. That may have been the case for the people beside them, but it was like hearing a stampede of elephants below. I would definitely book for a room on the 6th floor if we go back to this hotel.

Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Hotel also very close to u-bahn and taxi stand. Many excellent restaurants within a five minute walk of hotel and major shopping 10 minutes away.. Beds were too hard and tv too small for the large room. Although breakfast was generally good, it was over priced. Eight euro would be more reasonable.

There were 4 of us - ladies/girls on a 4 day city break. We booked the Otto based on a number of reviews we had read. I am delighted to say it lived up to the high opinions in those reviews. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great with plenty of places to eat locally and a short walk to the Kurfurstandam Strasse shops. We booked a larger room - well worth it - with lots of space and a seperate dressing room. The breakfast was excellent - lots of choice and good quality. Tea/coffee and cake is available in the dining room until 9pm - a lovely touch and even lovelier cakes....... Highly recommended.

Location was very close to the rail system with easy access to shopping and Berlin central. Quite a few nice restaurants and coffee shops close to the hotel. Parking was fantastic. I had a car and was able to park for a nominal charge and feel confident that it was secure. The room was modern and comfortable with nice linens. My only need was for a small fridge, which wasn't included. If you're staying for more than a couple of days its always nice to keep water and food cold.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. It is in a lovely street with lots of cafes/restaurants and design shops nearby, and yet very easy to get to main tourist areas by public transport. The rooms are minimalist and hip and the breakfast on the top floor is more than adequate. The only thing we didn't like was that it was stuffy at night as there was no air-conditioning and the fan was not really adequate. I would not like to be there in ther height of summer.

The hotel is really central to everything, but in a quiet area when it comes to night time & sleeping. We had an issue with our room and the staff we great and sorted it out quickly and efficiently for us. They had a 5th birthday bash whilst we were there, which we were invited to, which was a really nice touch. Would use the hotel again - as long as I knew I was on at least the first floor, preferably at the back (as we were!) I would suggest to everyone who stays here to make sure you ring before you get there and make sure you room is on at least the first floor. They have 4 or 5 rooms just off reception - which are hot and noisy and don't even feel like hotel rooms (almost like they were once office rooms that have been amended to hotel rooms to get more money!) The staff however did move us when we asked them which was good. Air con & fridge would be a plus id like to see in the future

This hotel has a superb location on a gorgeous wide street in Charlottenburg with many beautiful shops, cafes and restaurants on its doorstep. Public transport is within a short walk. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times and the family room we were allocated was excellent. They had arranged a separate single bed for our 4 yr old and very comfy large baby cot for our 2 yr old. We also had a separate area for wardrobe and unpacking which makes a huge difference! Both girls slept like logs and had plenty of room to play! It was certainly one of the better family rooms we have stayed in and we only choose 4* or 5* hotels. We also appreciated the free unlimited bottles of mineral water and the daily availability of free tea/coffee, cold drinks and cakes on the 7th floor and the lovely terrace overlooking the main street. The rooms were airy and modern with wonderfully comfortable thick mattress beds. This is minor gripe but a flight of stairs and lift only on alternate floors we found problematic as we had a baby buggy with us. I do realise this unfortunately is a restriction caused by the actual architecture of the original building but this would influence strongly our choice to stay here again while our daughter requires this.

Clean, orderly, quiet, modern, excellent bkfst, very friendly staff We do have a few suggestions for improvement: 1. add wheelchair access, 2. too few chairs in room, 3. viewing the tv in bed is not the most comfortable

Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a delight to be greeted Gute Morgen with a big smile in the breakfast room. The breakfast choice was mouthwatering, the afternoon coffee, tea, cakes are an excellent idea. It was so nice to come back and relax on the balcony with coffee and cake! The room was well equipped, furnished and we felt very comfortable during our stay. The location of Hotel Otto is great, so near to the U-bahn and to Savigny Platz with its restaurants and the S- bahn. We found that the hotel was an excellent base from which to explore the city and its environs, it was so easy to return to and relax in the lounge/balcony on the top floor. We would recommend this hotel to our friends without hestitation and we hope to return for another, perhaps longer, visit next year. Thank you! I cannot think of anything we did not like! so, congratulations on running an excellent hotel!

We had wonderful concierge service, helping us with everything right down to booking some events for us since we had no internet access with us. The breakfast is excellent as is the 7th floor dining area and balcony which is also a lounge during the day...we enjoyed our afternoon Kaffee und Kuchen! The location is excellent...close to the S-bahn, the Ku-damm and the Zoo. The neighbourhood was comfortable, safe and interesting. Many good restaurants within easy walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel...as it was already recommended to us by friends. We were unlucky enough to have some very rowdy young men staying at the hotel during our stay there and it was only on the third night that the noise level was dealt with. The hotel did compensate us for our lost nights' sleep, so we can't complain on that score.

The reception team were so nice and showed hospitality. The room was well designed. The location is good and easy to access the central Berlin. There are cafe, restaurants, bookshop, copy store, drugstore, theatre and universities as well. Very nice area. Especially I loved the lounge on 7th floor where the guests can enjoy afternoon tea break free coffee, tea, fresh juice, cakes, sandwiches!! Even after check out, they were very pleased to offer me to access the lounge. I am sure I will stay again for next visit as well. Thank you Hotel Otto! Nothing.
