The reception was good and the free parking also, although there is no security. The cooking facilities are good also, there is a dredge, microwave & workbench.
It's too far to walk into the historical centre and you have to look around a bit to find a place for a meal/drink.
For those unsuspecting travellers be warned , this hotel allows dogs in the rooms. So it barked until 10.00 pm until i demanded it be removed by the hotels owner, then I thought of the further consequences. Dogs sleeping on the bed, sitting in the cloth chairs, defecating and urinating on the floors, perhaps rain sodden dogs being dried with the towels , then I felt ill at the thought they may be eating off the plates. You decide. We checked out.
good staff excelent. breakfast good. parking ok possition of hotel was good near town walking distance. good sized rooms. near to river
no problem with this hotel. but as it is near a old us army base the guard dogs barked all night and this was a problem as it was very humid and we had the windows open. normaly this would not be a problem as when the windows are closed you cannot hear them
Wifi weak in room, required repeated logins
Very friendly staff. Nice location, close to the historical city center. Very nice breakfast. I've read about some dogs barking at night in other reviews, but there was nothing like that during my stay. The place was very quiet.
The Wifi connection is rather slow, though quite stable. I believe that this is not much of a disadvantage.
Staff was very good
Very good wifi facility
clean rooms breakfast was quite basic, but good location is fine. 15 mins walking to the city center
reception is not open very long wifi was not working at all times
very friendly staff big room, well equiped
lot of stairs, no elevator two single beds attached, with gap between it
The desk staff was very professional and helpful. The location was a nice walk to everything. The breakfast was cold, but nice variety.
There were spiders in the room and no screens on the windows. There was no place to put toiletries in shower.
Large room, with kitchenette very good, good breakfast
Free available parking Large room with own kitchen The room was clean Personal was friendly
Breakfast is limited Presence of usa military base across the road with a lot of dog’s noise
Good big bedroom and separate bathroom. Plenty of space. Good breakfast.
A bit out of town so best if you drive. Coffee tea making promised but not available in our room.
When we got to the hotel, the guy in the reception was super-helpful, friendly and welcoming. We had a lot of questions since we got to Mainz spontaneously, and he was eager to help. Bottom line - great service. The room itself is very spacious and included practically all we needed for the night we stayed.
The WiFi connection in our room was quite poor, so we had to go to the lobby. But other than that, the whole experience was very positive!
The Hotel was immaculately clean, the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was lovely, great selection of cereals, cold meats, breads, yogurts, jams, juices and a pot of coffee for the table. The room had a small fridge and a microwave which was brilliant. The hotel had everything we needed and more. It was exceptionally well priced with breakfast included. It's a small hotel so it was quiet and private. It was just over the bridge so not right in the city. However, the views from the bridge when we walked into town the second day were stunning so worth the ten minute walk. We really loved staying here, it was one of the most comfortable hotels I have been in despite its smaller size. The beds were very comfortable also. Over all I'd say it's the best value in Mainz.
The buses that served the street were not that frequent, every hour. But it was only a short walk from town and a trip in a taxi to town only cost about seven to eight euro so I wouldn't let that put me off this place, it was a pleasure to stay here. The views from the bridge on the walk into town are the best of the city.
Extra large rooms with kitchenettes and dining table/seating areas.
Rooms at the front on the street were noisy as soon as the sun came up. There was no fan in our room so we were forced to leave the window open and sleep was impossible with all the noise.
