Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten  

All hotel staff were very friendly and pleasant. The hotel staff at reception were very friendly, each individual always smiled and said hello/good day every time you walked by the reception desk. Even the cleaning staff said hello every time they walked by. All reception staff were very helpful, recommending restaurants, shopping, site seeing attractions. The reception staff went above and beyond their front desk duties. One individual agreed to help me program the navigation system in my vehicle which was in German. She came with me to the underground parking garage and spent 30 minutes programming the system for our next destination. She offerred to program all our destinations but instead, I suggested she give me the instructions so that I could program them myself, this took another 10 minutes. And she did this task with a smile on her face the entire time. My family visited 6 cities (and stayed at different hotels) while in Germany and we all agreed that the staff at the hotel Sclossgarten was the most friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel to friends or staying their again ourselves.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Location was excellent. Lots of restaurants close by. Train and S bahn station across the street. Great all around. Highly recommended. We will be back!!! Dr J Russell

The heating could not be switched off In our absence, our room door was left open by the cleaning staff Uncomfortable beds: thin pillows and very short blankets

Unbelivable, Internet access is not free in the trendy times. They have set menue for Internet access together with pay movies, I was surprized to hear the price which is 27EUR. Unbelivable again. Very nice hotel expect an internet system.

The location is ideal to the central train station, the castle, and Christmas Market.

We were upgraded to a fantastic suite at no charge. Accomodations were quite luxurious and very well appointed, and many extra touches. We arrived early and they were very accomodating on all fronts plus gave us a complimentary drink in the lounge. Staff were very knowledgable and helpful to guide our activities for our short stay. Would definitely go out of my way to go back there or stay at another one of their properties.

Location is very good. It is very close to shoping area and beatiful park.

The friendliness of the staff throughout the hotel. The view from our room # 904. the decor throughout the hotel but especially in our room. The wonderful breakfast buffet. We invited our friends from Korntal, a family of 5, for dinner at the Schlossgarten Restaurant and all of us had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding and the service suberb.

That it can take more than two full days to get the Internet going again. I would challenge you to seriously look for a different provider. Even though Germany is known for law and order and regulations I find it unacceptable to take that much time to fix any Internet trouble. Fortunately your highly service orientated staff helped to ease the situation as much as they possible could. Please note my comments do not in any way reflect our love for your hotel but as we say in Canada ----- the buck stops with you----(the owner).

Fantastically helpful and friendly staff. Very good location, very nice room and very well priced.

No kettle in the room and we got woken up at 07:30 by room service that we hadnt ordered.
