Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten    

The hotel was fantastic. Everything from reception to departure was the best experience. The staff were very professional and helpful in all respects. The location is central to museums and all the sights of Stuttgart.

Excellent room, clean and nice bathroom

Air conditioning did not work - sensor did not action equipment to make the right temperature. You only got cold air if you set temp to zero else warm air came out even though setting was for air conditioning only not heating. No tea/coffee making facility.

Best hotel I've stayed at in Stuttgart. Would happily stay here again any time. Nice room, great staff, great price.

Very clean, staff was helpful and made you feel like royalty, they were quick to respond to and accommodate special requests. Stayed in junior suite and it was great.

Wish it had free internet in the rooms.

You do not find any better. And the value for money is very very good. The rooms, the food, the staff, everything is great. 20 meters to the main shopping street and main railway station. You can´t beat this. :-)

As a Norwegian I am used to have free WiFi on the rooms. But it is not a big deal.

This hotel is indeed value for money, and all that's promised is there. You don't have to pay exorbitant prices for extra services and even get a welcome bottle of water and a nuts-and-biscuits plate, though one point to be made is that in hotels of this category WLAN and TV are usually free. What I also liked is that the staff are welcoming, but unobtrusive.

I checked the ratings on your website before we booked, and i'am pleased to say they were totally acurate. We have just returned, and had an excellent stay at the hotel, I booked a deluxe room, but was given a suite on the top floor, which was a welcome surprise. Everything in the hotel was immaculate, all the staff were very polite and accomodating. I would have no doubts in recommending this Hotel to anyone. I have to return to Germany in December, so i have just rebooked with them again.

Everything was excellent

The location of this hotel is excellent for visitors to the centre of Stuttgart especially the shopping areas. Opposite the main railway station. Quiet at night and very comfortable. The complimentary wine tasting in the Vinotek went down a treat and was an unexpected extra! Courteous and helpful staff who are pleased to go the extra mile for their guests. Highly recommended.

The room was very small I requested a non smoking room but they gave me a smoking room because they said no more room available !! and was so noisy to me and my family we did not sleep comfortably

I am used to not having the smell of tobacco in rooms now and the air conditioning stank of it.

This hotel is nothing less than excellence. The staff (all of them), the location, the rooms, the cleanliness - everything is excellent. My husband and I have had a few 'City trips' mostly in Europe and stayed in a vast range of hotels from the luxurious to the 'not so much'. This hotel exceeds them all - in a good way. The hotel is lovely and in a good central location but it is definitely the staff that make it. The housekeeping, bar, reception and cafe staff were friendly, extremely helpful and very professional. When in Stuttgart we would never dream of staying anywhere else now.

The hotel is located in a very favorable location (near the train station, shopping, and cultural venues). The staff is very warm and welcoming and parking is a plus.

Being a business traveler, the availability of free in-room Internet is a must ... paying 10Euro is rediculous.
