The location Although the room was prepaid, when we arrived we found the Hotel locked up and empty. The key, the instructions in case of emergency and the breakfast times were in an envelope outside the front door. So, we could not sleep in a building where there was noone else apart from us. And of course the owner never sent us the money back! So, be extremely careful when you prepay! The bathroom was miserable and in need of refurbishment. I |

The new management are really keen to make an effort and succeeded - nothing was too much trouble and the "romantic" room was just perfect. Would certainly stay there again. |

The staff was extremely helpful and the room was well prepared. The hotel in general was generally kept extremely clean. The breakfast was ok, but could offer a larger selection of items, including hot breakfast items. |

The staff was helpful, especially when they couldn't find our reservations. The room was nice and clean, the breakfast had a wide varity. The view of the mountains was great. They didn't have our reservations. |

We took a service apartment type which provide with kitchen for own cooking. Bathroom is excellent. Very noisy from traffic surrounding the hotel. The room was not for non-smoking room. |

The hotel was a perfect location for someone who did not have a car. It was easy walking distance to the train station and to the center of town. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was our best meal in Berchtesgaden. We had two rooms. One room was a double room . It was in the attic where the ceiling was slanted and everyone kept bumping their heads. The room was quite small with no view or balcony. The single room we had actually had a balcony with a nice view. If I stayed here again, I would definitely upgrade to one of their better rooms. The hotel is also right off the main street, so it is not the best choice if you are seeking a quite location with good views. |

The hotel was conveniently located and easy to find along the main road. Rooms were nice and ours included a whirlpool bathtub with shower. Room was standard size. Being on the first floor, some late night drinkers in the bar kept us awake. Breakfast was very good, standard German breakfast. I'd stay here again. |

My son and I spent three days and two nights at the Hotel Bavaria during our recent European tour that included Berchtesgaden and the Eagle's Nest. We really enjoyed our stay and will never forget the "European quaintness" of the facility and its location, views of the surrounding area, delicious food (dinner items and breakfast buffet), friendly and helpful staff, and very comfortable beds and pillows! None. A regret we did have is that we had to leave the Hotel Bavaria and the city of Berchtesgaden to continue our European sojourn!! |

First, the locaiton of the hotel is great. It's only 5 mins walk from the train station. The owner, Petra was friendly, helpful and provided a lot of useful guides on travelling in Betchegaden and the breakfast was superd. We were given a corner room which was really comformtable and it came with a sizeable bathroom. Our room was facing the road and it was a bit noisy at first since we left our windown opened at night. However, we were so tired and it didn't bother us much. |

It was central for what we wanted to do, with many places to visit within easy reach. Guests private parking area. The breakfast bar & variety of food was excellent. On checkin we were given the attic room up six flights of stairs with sloping ceilings. We are both over 65yrs & found this unacceptable. We voiced our opinions the next morning & without question we were given another room. Full marks for that. |

Very happy. The reviewers who spoke about the place full of excitement were right! We have just returned from a gorgeous place right at the bottom of the mountain, surrounded with a very friendly and helpful hotel staff headed by Petra of whom we have heard so much positive feedback! We (me and my boyfriend in our forties) will surely return and wish hotel Bavaria many happy returning visitors. |

The staff was so helpful and friendly. Hotel is conveniently located close to the center of town and also to the train station. Breakfast buffet was delicious and large, and the views of the mountains from the dining room are spectacular. The room was beautifully decorated and large. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Berchtesgaden. |
