The location of the hotel is nice and quiet. It is close to a small forest and you can catch the bus to the city centre directy outside the hotel. The staff are friendly and englishspeaking. The beauty treatments are relaxing and the swimming-pool area is nice with a cosy fireplace. The hotel is perfect if you want to combine shopping and relaxation/wellness. The sauna area is "textile-free" so if you are not interested in being surrounded by naked people this area is not for you. The restaurant is a fish-restaurant. We have booked half-board with 3 choices for main course - either fish, meat or vegetarian. We got the impression that if not chosing fish you will get a meal of lesser quality.

Excellent staff. We absolutely loved the butter cake. Was amazing. No serious compliant - but as a frequent traveler in America, the bed was a little too hard and pillows were too soft and too flat. This was the only problem we had; but we did not say anything.

The facilities and the food at the hotel were fantastic, however the thing that stands out the most would be the level of service. From the moment that we walked in the door, the staff couldn't do enough for us (and although not expected, it was an added bonus that the staff spoke english). The level of service was exceptional. Liked the fact that offstreet car parking was available free of charge. Location wise, it is a bit of a distance from Keil city centre, so if you don't have a car it could present a bit of a problem. Although it wasn't overly warm when we stayed, the room got quite warm so I would imagine that this may be an issue during the warmer summer months.

What their site didn't tell us, and I wish I would have known in advance, is that you can do the cruise and park with your stay for 10 Euros a day and take a taxi to your cruise. That is cheaper than 20 Euros a day to park your car at the port.

Sehr ruhig gelegen.Mit einem Navigationsgeräts im pkw einfach und leicht zu erreichen.Ohne Ortskenntnisse kann man Probleme bekommen.

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und kompetent, besonderes Lob für die Mitarbeiter im Wellnessbereich. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr reichhaltig und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war qualitativ sehr gut aber leider etwas zu hoch im Preis. Das Doppelzimmer war für zwei Personen etwas zu eng bemessen, besonders das Bad war etwas zu klein konzipiert, so dass Duschen in der engen Duschkabine ohne Überschwemmung des gesamten Bades nicht möglich war. Wir haben dann doch lieber die Duschen im Wellnessbereich frequentiert.

Een schoon en net hotel met erg vriendelijke en attente mensen. Echt schone kamers, heerlijk eten (ook het ontbijt) en een mooi zwembad/wellness gedeelte. Een aanrader! Wij verbleven er n.a.v. een doorreis naar Noorwegen met Colorline in Kiel.

In den drei Nächten hat der Spülkasten gelaufen, in der Nacht sehr störend,ein Hotel mit den Sternen muss in der Lage so etwas spontan zu beseitigen. Wir würden das Hotel aber weiterempfehlen..

Afslapnings muligheder Kunne godt være lidt mere fleksibel hvis gæsten har lavet en mindre fejl F.eks ved køb af internet tid ved en fejl istedet for at tage den gratis option. Hotellet krævede og fik ret men ikke forståelse hos gæsten

Alle Mitarbeiter waren ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Atmosphäre im Hotel war angenehm aufgrund der guten Einrichtung, aber besonders wegen der netten Mitarbeiter.

Det var anden gang vi var på Hotel Birke. Det er fordi vi syntes det er super dejlig sted og servicen er rigtig høj. Man bliver altid godt motaget af er super venligt personale. Det er også rart at værtsparret tager sig tid om morgen til at snakke med alle gæsterne ved morgen bordet. Vi kommer helt sikker tilbage.

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe meines Kunden - also Verkehrsgünstig. Sehr nettes umsichtiges Personal. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht besonders gut. Bestellt war ein Nichtraucherzimmer; bekommen habe ich ein Raucherzimmer. Für 104 € ein Dachzimmer mit Schräge und einem sehr kleinem Bad ist das Hotel nicht besonders Preiswert.
