Great location 2 minutes from train station. Clean room. Paid 92 Euro a night, but skylight did not get dark enough to sleep later than sunrise and bathroom was fine but not good.

Very friendly and patient waitress at dinner - good quality menu for dinner. I had expected to pay 90 Euros for the rooms each per night, but the bill was 98 Euros - which I failed to notice until I came home. The rooms also remain faintly "smoker" reminiscent and will need a fresh coat of paint and new carpeting to sort that out.

Handy to train station and town centre. Friendly staff. There is a musty smell probably from the carpets which really need replacing.

Hello, My husband & I loved our stay at Hotel Braustuberl. The location was so wonderful - a block from the train station. All the gorgeous sites are within walking distance. Plus having the post office, grocery store & bus terminal right there makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. It was very convenient having the breakfast included. Great coffee! I wish there was a dinner menu in our room. Unfortunately we are not fluent in German & found it intimidating to order dinner sometimes. The only plaee we really felt comfortable was at a restaurant that had their menu in several languages. We are jealous of your ability to speak several languages! Just a minor detail. Otherwise everything was wonderful. Thank you!

Good location, near the railway station. Comparing with other hotels in Fussen, here is not expensive. But it only accepts cash. The breakfast is not bad. No lift, need to carry heavy luggage to the room.

Their restaurant food was good and the breakfast served was good. I especially liked that it was a short walk from the train station. Also quiet It was cool weather when we were there, but if it had been hot weather our 3 rd floor room probably would be too hot

The staff were friendly and the food in their restaurant was very good. Also, it's a great location from the train/bus station and the downtown area of Fussen. They lock/close the hotel for a few hours in the afternoon.

This was the homiest hotel I've ever stayed in; less like a hotel and more like a guestroom at someone's house. There were 6 of us staying in 3 rooms. One couple was placed in a building across the street. All of our rooms were large, with varying designs, all very warm and inviting. The place is a little older and worn, so expect creaky floors, doors, and furniture. We felt that only added to the charming ambiance. The all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast (included) had meats, cheeses, various tiny packaged wursts, soft-boiled eggs, rolls, yogurt, cereals, juices, coffee, and tea. The restaurant served some of the best food we had on our trip through 3 countries, at reasonable prices. The staff, while not having much English, did their best to give us whatever help we needed. The hotel is two blocks from the train station, and we did a walking tour of the town from its location. We highly recommend this hotel! We were traveling on a budget, and we spent more than we would have liked on this hotel, but the choices were very limited and prices between hotels all comparable. I wish the language barrier had not been so great, the staff did not speak much English. But, after all, we were in Germany, and we should have brushed up on our German!

Accessibility to the city - within walking distance. The staff was extremely rude, spoke very little English, and not helpful when needing assistance with directions to the information/tourist office or sights in the area. The rooms did not provide a phone nor a hair dryer. The walls were thin making the hotel very noisy. Was informed breakfast was serviced 0800 - 1000, however, when me and my niece went down to the restaurant it was locked up inside and outside access and all the families were waiting outside for it to open. The staff didn't show up until 0900 which delayed everyone's day getting out to the sights in the area. Breakfast was sparse once it was set out. Lastly, nothing on their website indicated cash only. Wouldn't stay here again and definitely DON'T recommend it!

Nothing. Had a terrible experience with the owner. I had booked 2 rooms for 4 people. Upon arrival we learned that one room had a "water problem". They showed us the extra emergency room. It was located in a basement and smelled bad with had solvent fumes. We were able to place a roll away cot in the one room. The owner then only wanted to slightly discount the room. I thought I should only pay for one room since now all 4 of us were squeezed into one room with one bathroom. He was very rude and not understanding. We finally agreed on a price, but the overall expeoience was not enjoyable.

The best thing that we liked, from our experience of the first night, was to cut short our stay to one night and to move on to another hotel. 1.On arrival the there was no hotel staff or others present there was a note on the front door advising that the key to our room was in the letter box; 2.There was no hotel staff present until the next morning, the gentlemant inferred he did not understand English, therefore it was difficult to communicate the isues that we had; 3. Breakfast menu was was extremely limited and very disappointing. 4. The fire safety / egress from the hotel was not compliant - the external doors were dead locked shut and required a key operation to open / escape in an emergency. 5. It is our impression that the hotel operator found it more convient not to understand english and not have to address any issues raised.

“We have stayed at many hotels throughout Europe and the Hotel Hirsch now rates as our number 1. A straight walk from the railway station, easy check in and English spoken, elegant decore, good advice on sightseeing, comfortable, warm theemed rooms, lovely restaurant with plenty of room. It was a nice touch to see the girls in traditional dress. We even purchased two of their umbrellas to take with us as we knew we were heading into rain. If ours was the standard double the luxury room must be exquisite. ” Stephen, Mudgeeraba |
