Location within close walking distance to train station and center of town was our #1 reason for choosing this hotel. Staff was warm and helpful. Room was basic - rooms/hallways are a bit "worn" but in all a comfortable night's stay in a hurry. Breakfast was basic as well (rolls with slices of cheese and meat -or- jam, boiled eggs, coffee/tea, cold cereal) but was included with the room price which was a nice touch. Not a fancy place but gets the job done well if you're needing a warm room and hot shower while visiting the castles and staying overnight. Friendly staff will be a plus for you as well.
The location was quite great. Its only 5 mins from the central station. Before arriving, we made a phone call to the hotel that we would arrive later than 21:00, but they accepted my late arrive.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and cosy room. Breakfast was satisfactory. Free parking. Great location near the castle of Neuschwanstein. Great area for hiking trips and family activities.
Wifi did not work in our room, hotspot was not available as advertised. But we were tired and did not bother too much for one night. Not really a bargain but price still ok for a family with two young kids.
The location of Hotel Bräustüberl was perfect and superbly convenient for guests arriving to Fussen via car or train.
The location of Hotel Bräustüberl was perfect but the room was a little shabby and disappointing. The breakfast meal was enjoyable, especially the coffee. However, since breakfast began at 8:00 am, we had a later start to our day than we planned. Also not accepting credit cards for dinner or for the room was a bit of an inconvenience forcing us to shorten our stay to only one night.
Excelleny food, shopworn facility.
Poor quality facilities
The hotel had Bavarian old time charm but rustic is not always comfortable. The breakfast was awesome and very fresh!
The only thing in the bathroom was towels and toilet paper. No soap, shampoo or hair dryer. The beds had only a bottom sheet and a down comforter and no air conditioning or fan.
They speak only German. Rooms are older and prices are high for the level of accommodations.
It was quaint!
No hair dryer in bathroom & small room! Toilet situated with roof on a slant- not for men over 165 cm! Breakfast could have included fruit!
Clean, helpful staff, very tasty breakfast, minutes from train station and close to town centre
Incredible cosy atmosphere. Very good breakfast a some minutes walk from the train station. Staff did everything they could to make us feel at home.
Lift is old and tight but it is not a big inconvenience.

Breakfast and WiFi
The location was great, three blocks from the center of Fussen (although it's a very small town), and it's a really lovely center. Breakfast was actually pretty good
Where do I start? We arrived, and this guy who I guess is the owner, saw me, my wife and my daughter and with a mean look, he told me, "she's not staying here" (meaning my daughter), at first I thought he was joking, but then he started talking to some other women form the hotel in german, very rudely (he didn't speak good english at all), and they told me I was supposed to pay extra for my daugther, I told them ok, but she didn't need an extra bed and the policy said they only charge you for extra beds, they didn't care; so, we ended up with one extra bed we didn't even use (12 euros extra, even though the site said it was 9, oh well). Then, I needed to make a phone call to reach a friend I was meeting next morning. There was no phone in the room, I went down, and asked where could I make a phone call. The woman asks me "you don't have a mobile phone?" (stupid question), I told them I had one, but no service in Europe, and I asked her if I could make a quick call from the reception, local call, she told me NO (the phone was right in front of us), and she sent me to the tourist office where there was a pay phone, 4 blocks away, just cause she doesn't want to lend me her telephone (I could have made a voip call but the wifi was close to nonexistant, extremely bad). Then, on top, next morning, we had planned to leave early, and when my wife tried to take a shower, no hot water. And I don't mean, the water was a little cold, it was freezing, even for your hands was bad. She called and waited a long time, finally somebody went there to fix it, took a lomg tiome again. It was one and a half hour the wait for warm water. I was actually going to pay them half for the room, but my wife insisted to pay all, and they told us a 7 euro discount had been applied (they were not even sorry or apologetic, by the way, they fix the bathroom like they were doing us a favor).
breakfast is full and fine, personnel is very well doing their duties, nice and quite place
the furniture in room could be set up a bit more logically and more comfort, but this is not a great issue at all, everything in room was OK
The location was good - close to town centre.
Our room was NOT in the hotel pictured on the webpage. They sent us to a tiny room in another building, unrelated to the hotel - across the street and down the road. The woman that greeted us was surly and unhelpful. We asked about sights to see in town or nearby and she replied, "Nature". She had no time for us. The ad about wifi is untrue. We were unable to get online in our room and were not allowed to use the wifi in the breakfast room. No one is allowed to use electronic devices in the breakfast room or restaurant. I would NEVER stay here again!
Can not use a credit card to pay the room and food.
Close to Fuessen Central (3 min. on foot)
We were told by the reception during the check-in that the breakfast is 7-10. When we came for breakfast the next morning, a waitress said the breakfast was from 7:30. We were in a hurry for booking a entrance of Neuschwanstein and asked her to make it quicker. She was in a bad mood and said "It's not my fault" and the breakfast was started from 7:30. We were NOT the only guests, other groups were also waited for the breakfast start. The room has only one small sky light window and the room smells toilette.
The staff were great to work with - they came in early to make sure my son had a breakfast before he left for training everyday. The area was quiet at night so you were able to get a good night sleep. Our room was very large with a nice balcony. With in minutes of walking distance to the city center and only about 20 minutes to the Forggensee.
I liked the outside of the building. That's about all because we weren't even given the option.
We had booked reservations through booking.com and we arrived at 10:30pm at night. There is no mention of the required check in time of 6pm. Due to our late arrival, they both charged us and gave our room away even though I called and told them we would be late. Thus, my husband and I were stuck with out a room in the small town of Fuessen. Don't bother staying in this "hotel."
Too expensive, no activities, Fussens seems completely dead at 8 p.m. on Friday evening in summer.
Enjoy this great little place not far from the station

WiFi signal a little weak
