Hotel Castell am Ku'Damm  

Nice and convenient location, price 30 euro per single room with WC+shower, including breakfast. Hotel is some 5 minutes walking from s- Bahn Savigniplatz and there is a bus stop just nearby on Ku'damm. Breakfast was excellent and even exceeded my expectations. Hotel staff is Russian-speaking, though reception lady speaks English fairly well. In my opinion this is quite an option to use if you stay in Berlin for coupla days.

The hotel shares a part of a building, which seems rather old. Hence, the stairs are wooden and the lift is antique ;) I wouldn't say that is a drawback of hotel, but people who prefer large rooms, non-squeaky floors, modern furniture, etc. must know that in Castell am Ku'damm such things should not be expected.

Good prices, good breakfast, helpful service-people

The hotel/room was even a bit better than expected, especially after a very old lift... We asked for a quiet room, and that we definitely got: no noise at all, even if the location of the hotel is in a busy city area. The room was fine, only minor minus was a lack of a fridge. The breakfast was very good and the staff helpful.

Staff is helping you and very accurate in their information and services. The hotel is small, but it is very convenient to visit berlin e to do shopping

The hotel location just off Kurfurstendamm is very convenient to lots of shops and restaurants, and very accessible to buses and rail transportation. Its on a quiet side street and the rooms are nice for sleeping undisturbed from city noise. The breakfast buffet gives plenty choices for a good breakfast. The somewhat worn appearance of the hotel interiors was OK considering the good price of the room.

There are a lot of steps from the entrance up to the reception area, and the elevator is small and doesn't go all the way. The carpets are worn and the halls are dimly lighted. The reception staff was nice but they could be a bit more enthusiastic and friendly about welcoming guests.

Postitiv war die einmalige Lage, absolut zentral für Städtereise ideal. Das Personal war auch freundlich. In Ordnung war die Sauberkeit.

Negativ war die desolate Zimmerausstattung :defekter Duschkopf, Mobiliar sehr ramponiert und müsste dringend ausgestauscht werden, Schranktüren hingen schief, Fenster und Türen schlossen nur unter Gewaltanwändung, Fernseher zu klein und Dauerflimmern.

L'unica cosa positiva è la sua posizione, vicino alle fermate di diversi mezzi pubblici, ben collegato con il centro e con l'areoporto.

La colazione a volte lasciava un pò desiderare, poi è stato segnalato come un tre stelle, ma non ha tutte le caratteristiche del tre stelle......quindi il suo costo è troppo per le sue caratteristiche....
