1. Location is approx in 10 minutes of walking distance from the nearest U-bahn station 'Uhland Str(U1)' and 5 mins from the Bus stop 'Oliver Platz(109 & 110)'. 2. The cleanliness was good in the room. 3. Internet connection was good. 4.Proper instruction was provided in advance by the receptionist about the House rules. 5. Locality was very calm to sleep at night. 6. Comprehensive Cit map was provided free of cost .
1. 2nd & 3rd floor were dedicated for the hotel. So the hotel don't have dedicated visibility in the popular location of 'Kurfürstendamm'. 2.The lift to the reception was preety old but in working situation. 3.Breakfast was lacking any sort of variety.Worth decision of taking breakfast from the Hotel for other travelers. 4.The Hotel should be appropriate to have at max 2 star or 1 star rating. 5.A caution money of 20 EUR for the Keys and remote control to television was charged to be returned at the time of check-out once both a submitted back to the reception. Was not clear of the reason behind it. 6.Two bulbs from the main lighting were in non working state. 7.Very small bathroom with very less possibilities to hand cloths. 8. No soap or shampoo were provided in the bathroom. 9.Rooms looked very old and needed renovation. 10. Pillows provided were uncomfortable to use. 11. Shower sometimes lacked warm water but was sorted after 5 minutes. 12. Lack of space in the wardrobes for hanging more cloths. 13. Reception didn't requested for comfortable language for communication and proceeded with German language only. 14. No addition facilities were available in the room for example. water heaters , tee cups & dishes etc.
The room was spacious and the bathroom clean. Once the heating was turned on, and few hours passed, it was also quite cosy.
The breakfast was certainly not worth the charge of 5 Eur. For less than that I had brilliant meals at the Youth Hostel. There was no facility to boil water in the rooms forcing one to step out and spend more money just to have a cuppa.
Location was good, within walking distance of a u-barn. Room was very large. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was good.
Towels were dirty, they need replacing and need to be washed better! They were bad enough that we went out and bought new towels right after checking in! The walls were also very thin. The wifi signal was poor in the rooms.
Somewhat bare but clean room, decent beds, quiet, decent breakfast, functioning wifi = good value for very little money
Difficult to find parking place
it was clean good room service nice breakfast
Well located and several public transport stop nex to
They barely speak english. Only russian and german
Good location by the Ku-dam, easy for access to Berlins vast public transport network
The location on the top of Kufüstendam. Nice walk down to KaDeWe and all the shopping. Chrismasmarket was great. Easy to park the car in Olivear plaz, and parking ticket from hotell. Great breakfast, okey rooms and very friendley staff. Good restaurangs in the area. Near ubahn and bus stop.
To cold in the toilet, wintertime.
They are restricted with every thing even if ask boiling water this i thing is a terrible
price-comfortability fair enough neighborhood quite calm
Staff did not speak a propper english, only german or russian.
Large rooms, really comfortable and warm bed, good selection for breakfast
Not all the staff at the reception speaks a proper English, the breakfast room is really small so you risk not to find a seat
Hotel is in a quiet side street ,but very close to Ku Damm shops etc. Beds were comfy. Good value for money ,as there are not many hotels with 4 full size beds in Berlin
Wifi did not work in our room. No kettle in room.
Quiet location, breakfast included, large comfortable bed, good shower
Room a bit small, Wi-Fi not free as advertised
excellent location near store, restaurants, public transportation all within 10 minutes walk. Good breakfast. Very quiet place which is amazing when you are 20-30 yards/meters from one of the main streets in Berlin.
carpets looks old but the rest looks OK, wifi doesn't work at night at 9-12 pm(too many people) but works good in other times
Good bus connectivity Peaceful surroundings Services like floor cleaning and damfresh bed Sheets Cooperation of receptionists and other staff members Good and unlimited beakfast
Excellent location, near Adenauerplatz metro station, good breakfast, staff was very helpful, fast wifi, clean.
Communication problem with some staff members. They are helpful but some of the staff should be improved in terms of English.Pillows
Good value for money. Close to buses, shops.
The lift is a bit old but ok...
good value for money. good / safe neighbourhood and close to U-Bahn & S-Bahn
limited knowledge of english by staff. "boring" breakfast after a few days.
The elevator dating bak to 1902.Felt like I was in an old movie each time I used it. The breakfasts were great.
Internet was on and off, mostly off and no adapter for North American users.
The breakfast had a good variety. Also, a great restaurant is only steps away for dinner The hotel was in a great location just off the kurfurstendamm and tour busses stopped a few blocks away
The directions to walk from the metro to the hotel was confusing but not far
location was very quiet
stairs (3th floor)
good location just off main shopping street. Short walk to undwerground and bus stops
The hotel is located in Charlottenburg, which is the posh/ boutique area in Berlin. Lots of bars and cafes nearby also where the expensive shops can be found (LV, Prada, cartier etc..) and next to the main kurfurstendamm avenue which is where it is most lively. We found using the nearby buses in 'Oliverplatz' handy as buying a travel pass for all modes of transport can be used to get around. The main train station is about 15 walk which can get tiring if carrying luggage. Summarising - Hotel was in good location the breakfast was ok, beds were standard, WiFi fast and the reception spoke a little english which helped and I would stay again, but would rate this any higher than a 3 Star hotel.
Due to the area, hotel is like a boutique hotel, however even though it is clean and somethings new, the new décor did not match well. The hotel does need a professional makeover and does look a bit like a B&B. So if you like your Modern looks you wont like it at this hotel.
1. Hotel Staff said SIMPLE NO to the Deal made through Booking.com! 2. Rude Staff and impolite. 3. Hotel Checkout time is 11:00 in morning and BANG on time the cleaner enters the room with her automatic key and ask you to leave the room as she has to clean!!!
