When you've been walking around in Berlin all day, it was great coming home to a luxurious kingsize bed and a nice view over the city. Very quiet and comfortable! Not much to complain about - maybe that the receptionist who serviced us when we checked out, spoke really poor English and had a hard time understanding our question - something you wouldn't expect from the staff at a 5-star hotel. Otherwise a very nice hotel, although more geared towards/suitable for business people than a couple "on retreat from the daily life".

Very comfortably with very professional staff Very expensive internet. Modern travellers rely on internet access for ongoing travel arrangement and this was not feasible at the prices charged by the hotel. Fortunately there are lots of Starbucks in the area which offer excellent free access. This really needs to be dealt with by the hotel, otherwise it will loose future business. Virtually every other hotel I have stayed in recently offered free or very cheap WiFi. 7 Euro for 1 hour is not acceptable.

The hotel was clean, the bed was not comfortable for a couple, two mattress and two separate quilts , the food was good but the assortment was very limited , for new year party eve also very very limited assortments and the worst self service for a price 120 eur for two of us Upon we arrived there the reception clerk ask to made copy on my credit card and told me that the payment will be on the check out moment. The fee agreed was 636 eur for 4 nights Within 5 minutes I got a message from my bank that successfully the bank proceed from my account a payment with Hotel Esplanade as beneficiary but not for the amount agreed, it was done for 836 eur or 200 eur more I back to the reception meaning that is was a mistake, not only for the amount but also for a payment done His answer was : it is our policy for a guest nor resident in eu!!!!!!! ON fist January we call them from center to call a taxi for us (and to charge us for this service) because was not possible to find a taxi and back to the hotel , the girl answer to me that their duty are to take care only inside the hotel The last is that in the invoice they have charged telephone use form the room, which is not true, we never use the telephone room

We stayed at the hotel for the 4th time, we liked the spacious room as we had our daughter with us, who is an adult,. The rooms at the end of the corridors are the most spacious, and comfortable. Usually the rooms are nice for 2 people, and they are 29m2, each. The health club is nice and clean, although the pool is a bit small. there are 3 saunas though. The absence of tea and coffe making facilities which is a bit unusual for a hotel of this standard. I noted this in my previous correspondence, but nothing was done

Quiet location -- there was a bus stop within 100 yards of the hotel, so we were able to get into the centre and all the sights easily -- the number 100 bus passes almost all the places of interest. Hotel staff very polite and helpful. Food in the Eck restaurant was good and reasonably priced -- something to suit everyone's pocket as well as their appetite. No tea/coffee in the rooms. The bottle of water on the welcome tray was charged to the room bill -- an exorbitant £6!!!!!

We stayed for 3nights in January for my husband 40th birthday . It was fantastic loved every minute , the food is gorgeous the staff treated us like family definitely will go back .

Th e position is good for both sides of Berlin. The rooms are good but not excellent. The breakfast was very good. Bedding is very good. The 5 star tag is generous. Shower caps are not available. The cosmetics are not designer, and the quality of these are only average. The internet is very expensive for these days when the provision is seen by even 2 or 3 star hotels to be essential.

All are perfect in this hotel, but the bed is better that I can imagine. They should change the dirty towers and they can't hold on money for my credit card more than we make the reservation without told me because they won't to be sure for the mini bar things. Bad communication.

Located in a quiet area with very good public transport links to anywhere in Berlin. All the major attractions are within minuets of the Hotel and buses/trains run very frequently throughout the night! Rooms are very clean & comfortable and the hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the cost of sky T.V.

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood, near the Tiergarten park. Not exactly in the center but it is very close to the bus station and 8 minutes walk from the subway. The room was excellent. It was nicely designed and had a really big and comfortable bed. It was also very quiet. We slept very well. The bathroom was also large and had all necessarily facilities, including bath robes and bath salts which for me is a nice extra value. Today almost every hotel has free Wi-Fi so it seems a bit strange that a 5 stars hotel doesn't provide it and charges 6 euro for one hour!

Helpful staff, close to the Intercon where the event was taking place, clean and spacious rooms. Good food at the restaurant, id recommend the Club Sandwich. The only thing I was disappointed by was the charge for Wi-Fi. A top 4 star hotel should offer its guests complimentary internet access!
