Less than I expected, ok though

Small room, cold

The Hackescher Markt Hotel is in an excellent location close to the s train and a wonderful range of eating places. It is a short walk to Museum Island and so it is perfect for getting an impression of the wonders of Berlin. The hotel breakfasts were great with a good range to which to choose and made sure that each d ay began well.

The room we were given was right at the front above the tram terminus and hence rather noisy. This was particularly annoying since I had specifically requested a quiet room, having read an earlier review. On requestoing to change I was told that the hotel was fully booked and no change was possible. The wireless connection did not function reliably which was another disappointment since I needed to access the web urgently and unable to complete the work as planned. The hotel had advertised wifi connection freely available which was not my experience.

Fantastic location, less than 5 minutes from Museum Island in Berlin. On a fairly quiet street, yet right in the heart of shopping and restaurants. Very convenient to public transportation. Would definitely stay here again - free wireless!

This is a clean and well-located business hotel that offers free wifi.

I'd prefer magnetic stripe room keys vs. big heavy ones that you need to leave at the front desk.

Ambiguous question... The weather? Surely not. Hotel was fine with the exception of the front desk. Could improve here. Some of the kids working there were ok other I would have fired on the spot. But then it is the management & training that is lacking not the people on the front line.

The best part about this hotel were the breakfasts, super well run & more than ample. After that the location, for visitors from abroad doubt there are many places that are better located.

I stayed 6 nights and was very happy with my room, service and the exellent breakfast.

Excellent location for north east/central Berlin. Staff first-class, friendly and helpful and efficient service. Bed/bathrooms spotlessly clean. Beds very comfortable. Would definitely go back.

room was small and dark for an executive room, comfort is basic and room is outdated! bathroom was not really clean!

The hotel is in "the centre" of a vital and nice part of Berlin.

I think the staff could be a little bit more happy/smiling. And I Think that it should be possible to use two pc's at the same time - on internet.

this is a great hotel in a very convenient and lively spot. The staff were super helpful and the breakfast was great. I really enjoyed the hotel and would return should the chance come up.
