It is very nice regarding to its very kind staff and quiteness. The hotel is located in very nice area with a lot of trees which give the place a good feels. The only negative matter is that away the city but could reach it very easy by two buses every 10 minutes. Really, I look it as perfect hotel and does not need any improvement

I've been in Hotel Hasselkuss for 2 days only but it was a nice experience. Hotel is located in quiet lovely place in Essen. You can get to Messe by car if you rent one or by bus (about 20 minutes). The lake is 5 minutes by foot. We got an apartment with two spacious rooms, both with queensize beds and even sinks in every room. Breakfasts were ok, even better than those we had used to get in other European countries. Staff was very helpful and kindly. At first it was a little cold in apartment but we switched on the heating and after few hours temperature became normal.

I liked the hotel's proximity to the lake and the surrounding countryside. Also, the bus service was very convenient for Essen city centre. The bathroom was clean, towels clean and plenty of hot water. The hotel is very much in need of refurbishment/freshening up. The public areas are dreary and not particularly welcoming. The furniture in the bedroom was cheap (a kitchen table!!) and the lighting in the stairwells was inadequate at night. There is no lift in the hotel. And with its location at a junction and with adjacent bus stops, there's quite a lot of traffic noise from early in the morning.

Das Hotel war sehr schlicht und altmodisch eingerichtet. Das ist OK, aber dann ist der Preis von 87,00 Euro überteuert. In der Nacht zuvor war ich z.B im Hotel Zweibrücker Hof, Herdecke und habe bei einem erstklassigen Hotel nur 89,00 Euro bezahlt. Wir waren mit dem Rad auf dem Ruhrtalradweg.

Die beiden Mädchen an der Rezeption waren freundlich alles etwas vernachlässigt auf dem Stand der 70er, gesprungenes Waschbecken, schiefe Ablage etc billige Einrichtung, Frühstück unteres Niveau: Käse billigst, Eier kalt, alles etwas lieblos

Van genoten????? Elk jaar reis ik met mijn echtgenote via Duitsland. Wij overnachten altijd ergens in Duitsland, voornamelijk in Gasthauzen. Hotel Hasselkuss kan niet geklasificeerd worden als Hotel. Waarom? Alle gewoone Gasthauzen waar wij al jaren overnachting zoeken en vinden, zijn vele malen beter (luxuezer ingericht) en gewoon netjes en schoon. Hier: badkamer vis, donker, enorme badkuip voor de WC-pot, onnodige oude kasten in de badkamer. Vloer vis. Bovendin, wij hebben 1 tweepersoons kamer besteld en bevestigd gekregen, maar moesten verblijfen in een 4- kamers appartement, waar ik het gevoel had, alsof het gezien snel vertrok om plaats te maken voor de gasten, om geld te kunnen verdienen. Ontbijt? O.K. koffie was gewoon bruin water. Ik durfde geen twee kopjes nemen.......

j ai pas aimé que l hotel etais completement fermé les deux portes .et on nous avais pas averti que si on rentrai tard il faudrai faire tout le tour de l immeuble et rentrer par une petite porte .on est resté 1 heure dehors avan de realiser que un clients rentrais derriere t

Kurz und knapp- nichts Es war angegeben, das es ein Restaurant geben sollte. Gibt wegen Personalmangel aber nur Gaststätte mit ganz kleiner Karte (Suppe, Eintopf,Schnittchen)Im Prinzip hat mir so gut wie nichts gefallen. Nochmaliger Aufenthalt dort zu 1000% nicht

Guter Service. Man konnte unproblematisch schon früher das Zimmer beziehen.Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Sauberer Frühstücksraum.Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr großes Zimmer und Bad. Einrichtung recht alt, störte aber überhaupt nicht.Schade, das das Restaurant geschlossen ist, obwohl im Internet und Hausprospekt davon nichts steht.
