A simple and straightforward stay; good breakfasts

It's in a rather quiet suburb, so there are few local facilities; that said, it's only 10m by tram from the centre, and these are fairly frequent until about eight in the evening.

It is located next to a sweet little neighorhood and right on the bus line to the casttle. Very helpful staff. They went way out their way to assist us.

No view from room. There was a brtight sign outside our room and no shade just sheers. I woke up in the middle of the night and started dressing.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the receptionist on arrival. Bed comfortable, bathroom good. Breakfast not included in the booking price but was of a good standard. Location, although out of town, tram stops close by, easy journey into town.

Allocated room smelt of smoke. However they changed us to another room without question.

Nice hotel on outskirts of city centre. Good tram link into town. Easy access from motorway. Friendly helpful staff, English was spoken. Food excellent. Decor very nice.

Room 5 slightly noisy when lift was in operation and is next to kitchen, where some noise could be heard also.

Our room and bathroom was a good size, clean and comfortable and also had a balcony too. Breakfast was a buffet with a nice choice. Very reasonably priced and location was good for us with a hire car as free parking on site in a nice area. So close to the tram stop for a short ride into the city and local supermarket just a short walk away. Friendly staff who spoke English well, nice touch with a heart shaped chocolate on checkout! Did not use restaurant but seemed to be busy every night with a nice menu.

No fridge/mini bar in room and most of the 2days no Wifi signal, although Internet access was available in foyer.

I did book on the internet for a group of 7 people. At check in it was not clear who was going to use the single or the double rooms booked. At the moment of booking that I booked what was available and was not able/ found the possibility to request single rooms only.

Extremely friendly and helpful welcome even although we arrived very early. Room comfortable and clean. Proximity to tram made going into town easy and interesting too. Breakfast was good with a big choice.

Absence of facilities to allow the making of a hot drink in our room. Seems to be common in Germany, so being English and needing regular tea, we have bought our own kettle and cups!

The hotel was very comfortable indeed, with well-appointed and clean rooms which were excellent value. The breakfast was outstanding in all respects. But above all, we were struck by the helpfulness of the staff: one of our children fell ill during our stay and nothing was too much trouble for the owners.

The room is large and quiet.

They gave us a room which the bath room was flooded. It was fixed but you can smell it in the first second after entering the room. I requested to change another room and was refused because they claimed the hotel was fully booked. ???

Exceptionally clean rooms, and comfortable. Fabulous restaurant--great variety of menu items and delicious. The white wine was served at a perfect temperature. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Free wifi, both in the rooms and in the lobby.

Staff very willing to help with questions and directions, easy access to city. Tram within 100 meters.

We got the impression it is a family run hotel. Staff extremely friendly. Vast free parking space available. Very quiet. A quality German service.

Room too small for three adult persons but for family with kids it is just fine.

It was a really nice and affordable place to spend a weekend in Heidelberg and I would definitely recommend the hotel to everybody I know! It was easy to find and to get to, the rooms had a good size and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The tram station just around the corner with trams leaving every 10 minutes was very helpful as well.

Although the hotel is some distance out of the city it could not be easier to travel to the centre . Right outside the hotel the tram, which runs every 10 minutes, takes you straight to the centre, perfect. Reception sell you a ticket. Easy.

The environment is good. The hotel allowed us to eat delivered food in their restaurant even it was already closed. The nice and helpful staff also helped to clean up after we have done eating.

We liked the friendly relaxed atmosphere..All the staff could speak English. The evening meal was excellent and was a reasonable price. The breakfast was superb. There was plenty of car parking space. The hotel is near to the A5 and is a tram ride iinto the centre of Heidleberg.Excellent.

We were given a room facing the road.Although this is a minor point it can get quite noisy early in the morning when the trams start at 5 o'clock and your window is left open.

they had wonderful parking available. the lounge and restaurant were very pleasant and the dinner was very good. the tram was less than a block away and it only took only about 15 minutes to be in Old Town, where every thing is located. the staff was helpful, and it was a good experience.
