The Konigshof Novum is a budget hotel close to the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main station). I had a room w/o bath, but the common ones in the hall were all perfectly clean and plentiful enough that there wasn't any problem getting access. Also, the included breakfast (German style continental) was very good. All in all, the hotel was great value for the price. |

I liked the location near the railway station and transportation to the airport It was quoted as a gay hotel but looked more like a family hotel. Besides the gay flag outside, nothing else was gay |

Hotel was nice but worked out quite expensive for the weekends. Weekdays were cheaper. Breakfasts were nice and staff were great |

The staff and the breakfast were excellent. The shower and bathing facilities were also good. There was also a tv in the room. It is quite a walk from the Hauptbahnhof, and there are no stairs to this hotel. However, no stairs in the hotels are common across Germany. |

Rooms are relatively quiet for this part of the town and the staff was very attentive and polite. Nice breakfeast too. I had reserved a room with shower inside the romm and they gave me a room without shower. Not a big problem however as the bathroom on the floor was not often used. |

Central location. Too many complaints to list here. No elevators and narrow crooked stairways. No ventilation or A/C. Dark and cramped shower area. Mold and mildew in the bathroom. Very poor lighting in the room. Terribly narrow and awkward main entrance. Very early (11:00 AM) checkout and very late check in (14:00 PM) times. No luggage storage area. Very limited breakfast selections. Smaller than normal towel sizes. Poor sound isolation between rooms and corridors. Unfairly priced for the services and amenities. |

Great location (less than 5 minutes walking from the central train station), nice 3*** hotel. Booking.com offered real bargain - single room without shower and WC (available on the floor, in good condition and I was the only one who used them) with breakfast (the good one) only for 30EUR. There are some sex shops, gay bars and love for money on the way to train station in the night time, but no obtrusion at all. Somebody noticed that hotel belongs to the big gay hotel chain. That must be the reason why the hotel staff and guests are mostly muscular guys in the leather shorts. Just kidding:) I saw only business people and married couples. Overall almost perfect hotel, if you need place close to public transport and don't want to spend much. It's hard to find any for this price category. |

This is the nicest of the Novum hotels in which I'd previously stayed. Staff was extremely friendly, the bed comfortable, the outside street not noisy. The cafe/terrace was brilliantly decorated - very tastefully, creatively, one of the nicest I'd seen in any hotel. The artwork throughout the hotel also emphasised the overall personal, 'small' feeling at the hotel and its attention to detail. The single room was so, so very small, but I didn't expect it to be too much bigger. |

The room was large and cosy, very good bed, friendly staff, good location near the Hauptbahnhof - the hotel is located on a quiet street. There is also a nice looking Italian bistro downstairs. The walk from the Hauptbahnhof during nighttime is somewhat interesting... |

The hotel has close proximity to the central train station and bus stops. Restaurants, fast foods, grocery store and a bakery are within walking distance. Food from China, Turkey, India, etc. are available. There was also a vegetable market on a Saturday, just approx. five minutes walk from the hotel. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the spread was well-organized and attractive. The hotel is near sex shops and where prostitutes, bums, and alcoholics hang out. However, one can choose a different path/direction to avoid them. The good thing is that the city police (Polizei) patrol the area either by cruiser, foot or both. The free-access computer in the hotel for internet did not work and the administrator was unavailable that Sunday. |

Clean, nice rooms, very good breakfast. The hotel belongs to a gay-hotel-chain and bookings.com did not alert about that. |

Good location - close to the railwaystation and the city. Quiet. Stayed in a single-room and it was not very fresh compared to a modern hotel, too small room and no place to put your clothes. Strange shower. |

Frühstück in Ordnung.
