The breakfast was nice and the beds were comfy.

The staff were very rude and did not help us at all. When we arrived I was told I booked two separate rooms, although I knew I hadn't, but the girl was very persistent I had. We were then given two keys for single rooms, which were small and lonely. Throughout my stay I had to stay in a different room to my mother. Even when I showed the receptionist the paper work to prove I didn't book separate rooms she still didn't Chang our rooms as apparently they were full. This really ruined our trip because every night I had to leave my mum and go up another floor to my room. The rude receptionist also told us the best way to get to the airport was by taxi and would cost €15. We got a taxi to the airport and it cost over €30. We then had such little money left we had to share a meal at the airport. Furthermore when we asked at the airport how much a train would cost, a lady said it would have only cost €3. My mother and I felt really isolated in our hotel, and the staff seemed to treat us differently because we were English. Particularly the receptionist with brown hair and glasses. I even felt she laughed at us. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

Relatively nice Hotel in an unremarkable neighbourhood. Decent Breakfast included. Very helpful staff.

Rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy because the trams pass just meters from the windows. I asked to move, staff happy to do so but I had to endure the first night because hotel was full.

I had stayed there again in 2009 and this time I was pleased to see that they have fixed the problems I had found back then. The hotel is being renovated.

Location was bad, far from the city and very noisy. The area is not pleasant. It is bad I didn't have the time to read other reviews which mentioned the noise from the tram :(

The room was light and airy: noise from the trams was an inevitable corollary of being so near the stop. The tram service is frequent and fast. The room rate was incredible for the quality of the room and the excellence of the food. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and with excellent english. Parking on the street was free and despite some misgivings from the look of the area, safe. For the road traveller, it is very easy to find and quick to leave, being on a main route in/out of town. We were the only english people staying - it is very popular with German families.

hmmm the name 'central hotel' is a touch misleading - its actually a 40 minute walk or 15 minute tram journey from the centre. The local area is run down although undergoing active regeneration. The hotel building and other close by are fine but a lot of the adjoining streets are very rough: we found it intriguingly 'edgy' but those of a nervous disposition might want to stay nearer the city centre.

Very well-kept hotel. Nice breakfast, but crowded. Convenient to tram to city center.

They put the four of us in two rooms rather than one, which was good in some ways but bad in others.
