Hotel Mondial am Kurfürstendamm  

Location is in the shopping district and very close to local transportation and sightseeing.

The "family room" was smaller than anticipated. It looked as though we received a normal room with two temporary beds placed next to our bed. Also, coffee was unavailable in the room.

It's a Proper 4-Star Hotel. Just the way it should be. Central location, good size of the room, cleanliness, nice furniture (although the single bed is quite narrow). Even a shower instead of bath is not annoying because the bathroom is comfortable and big.

Did not like: Absence of computer room. Breakfast not included. The bathroom cosmetics should be upgraded, it's too primitive for 4- star Hotel.

Hotel was under going a refurbishment in the dining room, so it wasnt open for dinner, which we were not informed about. Dont book a taxi pick up from the hotel- it will cost you double!!

Being over charged for airport pick up.

The hotel for my partner and I, is a very well run and friendly hotel. All the staff from the ladies who keep the rooms immaculately clean , restaurant staff who are polite and very efficient, the same for the the staff at the front desk, they cannot do enough for you, and the bar in the evening is a great way to unwind with a few drinks served by nouri, an exellent bar and cocktail waiter who keeps his patron entertained whilst in his bar.

Staff excellent,very helpful and spoke superb English. Breakfast excellent as was evening meal in restaurant. Room/bathroom very clean. Beds very comfortable ( tempur matresses) goose feather pillows. No complaints at all!

The location of the hotel was second to none, the staff were helpful with good english, I would definitely recommend the Mondial for anyoune intending on a city trip to Berlin.

The room was very hot and stuffy the first night, which we fixed by turning off the heating for the 2nd night, which in winter would usually be odd! The bed was very comfortable but only 2 single mattresses pushed together to make a double were provided.

excellent location, great pool, wonderful varied breakfast, free internet connection and above all, really professional and friendly staff, remembering what I took for breakfast the next day I came to the restaurant! Very impressive!

Like it as affordable and very clean place to stay.

The ambiance

Extremely helpful staff on the Reception Desk. They provided us with city & transport maps on arrival, recommended restaurants nearby and we were able to buy tickets for the S-Bahn from reception too! Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and a nice relaxed atmosphere. In walking distance to the S-Bahn.

The gym was far to small and claustraphobic hence I did not use it. It could do with being larger and more equipment!

The staff members were kind and helpful. They made a real effort to solve any problem and assist in any way they could. The location is good, close to 2 stations, but not very close - around 7-8 minute walk. Lots of restaurants and cafes around. The breakfast was very good.

The internet signal in the top floors is extremely weak. It caused problems with my work, I changed for a room in a lower floor and the situation improved, but not greatly. More routers need to be installed. I asked for a double bed and got two singles together.
