Hotel Hamburg Novum  

The room and facilities were quite small but clean and sufficient for a short stay. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice of cold food and drinks (there was not much warm food though). It is right next to the central station so one can reach every place in Hamburg within minutes. Perfect for short city trips.

The hotel was right next to a sex shop which I didn't mind much but would be a bit inconvenient if you are travelling with young children.

Yes, the hotel is right between two sex shops, but it really isn't a problem. While there might be some unsavory characters around the neighborhood, I never felt in danger or was bothered by anyone. Hotel elevator out of order at the moment.

Breakfast was rich and calm Room on 5th floor was clean and calm It is an hotel for adults because it is located near sexshops and this does not fit for children

There was a stron smell of cigarette in my room

We have never been in a hotel where one must unlok the door from the inside to get out of the room with a key, and the T.V.was so small that one could hardly see it from the bed. We will never stay at Novum Hotel again !and one more thing to pay 10 eruo for parking for one night too much !! So you will never see us again.!!!!

It is very close to the city center.

However, it is located in the zone of red light street, maynot be good for young children.

Very good location (though sex shops nearby and prostitutes walking around, but location is good, just in the middle of city center), quite good breakfast (not too much, but quite delicious)

We had shared bathroom - it could be attended by cleaning lady more often. We have once run out of toilet paper and next day of soap in the bath/toilet room. Also it is quite strange that shared shower is not separated from toilet. But in general it wasn't too bad.

It's quite nice inside, and the room was nice and quiet as the window didn't face onto a busy street.

They made me pay an extra €10 on top of the price I reserved the room for (so I had to pay €49 instead of the advertised €39 for the night). I reluctantly paid as I didn't feel like finding another hotel. Also, this hotel is sandwiched between two sex shops on a dodgy street. Don't take kids here.

The staff was nice and the breakfast was reasonable.

The price was too high, the room was too small and the shared bathroom was not clean in the end of day...When we made the reservation, I didn´t know that was a shared bathroom

The breakfast buffet was outstanding! Rooms were small as expected. But the hotel was the perfect place to explore the city, close to the train station, and very clean.

It is close to the city centre. Staff was very helpfull in giving directions to the parking deck and spoke English. Breakfast was good. Value for money.
