quiet, clean, cosy, comfortable, close to metro station in a quiet neighbourhood
not really great breakfast, very small room
Very well breakfast, one women staff has good English language.
Although in an old building, this hotel is clean and well-maintained. There are all basic things you need. The staff are friendly and helpful, sleep quality is very good, breakfast is great. Location is good, especially if you like being near to the fashionable clothes stores. To visit other Berlin attractions, there are buses and a U-Bahn station nearby, the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station is 20 minutes away on foot.
Nice to be in a traditional European hotel/pension with character as a change from shiny modern ones. Big, quiet room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Breakfast is included. It is situated in an elegant part of the city.
The location is very good, near subway stations, in a good neighborhood. Nearby there is a very good German food restaurant. The room was of good size, high ceiling and a good mini-bar with honest prices for the beverages. The breakfast is of very good quality, both in the variety of things and taste.
The smell on the floor we were and inside the room was not so good. There was no air-conditioning in our room. There was no phone in the room and the desk front was not available in non-comercial hours
The hotel is located within a five-minute walk of Konstanzer Straße U-Bahn station. Adenauerplatz, for various bus connections including TXL airport and Zoologischer Garten, is a couple of minutes further in the opposite direction. The breakfast buffet is very good. I also liked the old-style lift.
My one dislike is that the chambermaid begins her duties far too early. She opened the door to my room between 8:30am and 9:00am every morning. Perhaps the hotel should invest in some "do not disturb" signs.
Excellent breakfast! Very close to U Bahn, Kaisser & Kurfürstendamm & lakes. Very cool elevator! Abt 45mins from the Schonefeld Airport.
Small room for a single person with a squashy shower, shared toilet. Dont understand the softness of the pillows?
Breakfast, old building atmosphere
Street beyond the window, small toilet
For what you pay you can expect more ( for Berlin hotels ). The staff was friendly, there is supermarket near. also U-bahn and direkt bus line to the airport and to Fair is near. I will recomend for the amount I pay ( i hope that they will keep the pricing in the future )
Breakfast Has English TV channels Comfortable beds
Never mentioned entrance stairs. Carpeting old A bit run down Small old lift
The rooms are clean and spaceous. The breakfast is really good.
We have not seen a small print that the reception worked till 9pm only and arrived at 9:20 pm just to find the doors of the hotel locked and no one answering the phone. It took almost 3 hours and help of seversl people staying in the hotel to finally get the key to the room. We already though we would need to look for another place to sleep.
Having been assigned a room on the courtyard-garden.
Very interesting building from the middle of last century, especially the elevator.
We pay at the departure, but later found that my credit card was also pre-authorized with the same amount due to the cancellation policy, so I have to go to my bank to release the pre-authorized amount, which was inconvenience at all.
Breakfast was really good. Its well located next to the subway stop. Theres a good restaurant serving local tasty german food right around the corner.
There was light coming out of the door's frame and the room didn't have curtains so you would walk up really early in the morning. Apart from this, everything was perfect.
It is very easy to get to Hotelpension Margrit from the airport by bus. When you are at the hotel, you are near a metro station so you can quickly get to the city center. Nice breakfast. A very nice old-school elevator.
Position and price
We were here in July 2014 for a week, while I did research in Berlin. We started in the front of the hotel, in 402. Super hot in the room, and with the windows open, super loud from the Brandenburgische Str. below. Moved to the back of the hotel (404) and it was cool and quiet. Like night and day. Thankful that the staff moved us. Good breakfasts.
Front rooms (402, for instance) very hot and loud.
- Good location - Good value for money - Friendly staff - Good breakfest
- Interior was a bit dated
quiet; U station 2 mins walk away; friendly staff; good wifi; nice breakfast.
The breakfast is awesome.
The breakfast is awsome, you can eat real German food. The room was perfectly clean. Near from here there is a supermarket LIDL.
Is not very central, but metro station is a square from here.
close to subway, not far from the centre, old stylish but comfortable, great old elevator
