the rooms were large and bed comfy. breakfast was great!!
unfortunately the wifi didnt work for the first 2 days of our 3 day stay. staff were not around very much. infact only until midday so we only saw them at breakfast time - didnt see them at check in. So it rated badly due to the lack of staff as well. Also couldnt leave our luggage as there would be no one to give it to us in the evening.
Very close to ubahn station, old building with history. And you have to see this elevator! Amazing
It sounds in the evening that somebody small and fast leave in between walls.
The rooms are big and the beds are confortable, the parking for only 2,50 euro/day is perfect (they give you a paper that says that you are a guest in the hotel so you can park in a 1 mile radius from it). There are lots of shops and a great pub near the hotel, we were very pleased with the location. Also very close to the metro.
The elevator is nice, but it's really small and slow. One guy at the reception doesn't really speak english so communication was a bit difficult. Also, when we arrived (2pm) the reception was closed and there was a note, but it was in german so we couldn't figure out what it said. We had to leave and came back a few hours later and than we finally checked-in. The breakfast is normal, only one type of bread, cheese, ham, juices and coffee (in a pot) or tea. These are just minor things that we didn't like but we would stay there again.
Quaint old building, super old elevator Breakfast was great
Every evening the lobby and elevator smelled like smoke, even though the signs in the hotel say there is no smoking allowed. The staff insisted that we pay cash, even though the site says they accept credit card. This caused some difficulty on cash availability for other things. The site also says they have parking available nearby and no need to reserve; this turns out to be on the road and only if you can find a spot, and then must pay for it. Not ideal, especially with the extreme cold temperatures. Would have preferred a garage.
Everything ok, except the guy that owns the hotel. We have never met such an unpleasant and rude person!!! What a pity... if you can just avoid him. On the whole a good experience.
The breakfast room was cozy, well decorated and the staff very friendly. The hotel is very close to metro and one can easily reach Berlin touristic spots.
The shower is inside the bedroom, which is nice. But there was no privacy. One could see straight trough the glass wall surrounding the shower. This is no big deal if you travel with your partner. But between friends could be uncomfortable...
Good location which is quite near with U-Bahn station. And rooms are ok.
The bath is somehow just in a corner of the room and totally transparent.
Breakfast is super, the location is very good and the staff are ver friendly
No telephone line at the room
nice for a city break
couldn't, find a fault
- 3 minutes from U-Bahn Adenauerplatz - 3 min to the bus stop of 109 to Tegal Airport - frequent buses to Zoologischer garten - spacious, very clean and quiet - awesome breakfast - excellent wifi - nice staff - supermarket at 3 min - several restaurants nearby with several options
- the bed mattress - too soft and kills your back - not being able to leave the luggage after check-out for some hours
Very peaceful place, good selection and quality of food for breakfast buffet. Very close to metro station.
The location, staff
Breakfast is the same for every day. The lift is too old. Receptionist stop working at 9:00 pm.
Good location of hotel with 2 metro stops in either direction, the staff were great and helpful my room was always cleaned and the facilities were excellent, breakfast buffet highly recommended, would stay again thank you.
Nowhere to leave luggage after certain hours as reception shut.
Beds were OK
Poor cleanliness Very old bathroom, with not enough heating and leakage. Shower was attached at the height of my lower back... No sound isolation from neighbouring rooms. This hotel needs a big overhaul.
very good breakfast nice localization (close to U-bahn) clean room
no double bed (only two twin beds) too soft mattress shower was too low - not for height people
U bahn is near by Hotel. Good breakfast. Great WIFI connection. Good reception staff. Price and quality fits it.
A bit far from old town, and (there is no direct U bahn line to it, so you should change line). Not all reception staff talks in English. Shower in living room.
My sister and I stayed in the hotel between the 27/10-31/10 of 2014, before haloween and it was fantastic the staff was kind and understanding we came to the hotel before the check in hour, and despite that, we got a room without waiting a second the rooms were cleaned every day, and the breakfast contained verious options. its a few minuts walk from the main street in west of berlin recommend to all!
the reception closes very early and the door to the hotel is closed just about 9 p.m (they give you a key so dont worry)
quiet, clean, cosy, comfortable, close to metro station in a quiet neighbourhood
not really great breakfast, very small room
Very well breakfast, one women staff has good English language.
Although in an old building, this hotel is clean and well-maintained. There are all basic things you need. The staff are friendly and helpful, sleep quality is very good, breakfast is great. Location is good, especially if you like being near to the fashionable clothes stores. To visit other Berlin attractions, there are buses and a U-Bahn station nearby, the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station is 20 minutes away on foot.
Nice to be in a traditional European hotel/pension with character as a change from shiny modern ones. Big, quiet room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Breakfast is included. It is situated in an elegant part of the city.
The location is very good, near subway stations, in a good neighborhood. Nearby there is a very good German food restaurant. The room was of good size, high ceiling and a good mini-bar with honest prices for the beverages. The breakfast is of very good quality, both in the variety of things and taste.
The smell on the floor we were and inside the room was not so good. There was no air-conditioning in our room. There was no phone in the room and the desk front was not available in non-comercial hours
The hotel is located within a five-minute walk of Konstanzer Straße U-Bahn station. Adenauerplatz, for various bus connections including TXL airport and Zoologischer Garten, is a couple of minutes further in the opposite direction. The breakfast buffet is very good. I also liked the old-style lift.
My one dislike is that the chambermaid begins her duties far too early. She opened the door to my room between 8:30am and 9:00am every morning. Perhaps the hotel should invest in some "do not disturb" signs.
