Really good breakfast included Everything very clean and neat Great value overall
When we arrived in the afternoon after a long train journey and rang at the door, no one answered. We hung out despondently with our luggage on the street until we convinced a kindly passerby to call the hotel number for us. The manager arrived in under ten minutes but still, it was unpleasant to waste precious Berlin time this way. A hike to get to S and U Bahn. Rom tv didn't work
Location and room size, windows overlooking Berlin, good beds, bad cover-duvet quality, internet is a ripoff
Washbasin too small too cheap to russian quality. wall plugs fall out for tv antennas and tv is a joke and too small during the worldcup (hello !), the breakfast is low quality, bevause the Hotel shops at Metro for the food, the commercial sausages and the bread - in a wonderfull bakery paradise like Berlin- is supermarket precooked to reheat. LOUSY
Rooms could be cleaner!
location is OK as it is close to my brother's house, the S-bahn station, and on main road. The old Russian couple who manage it are friendly but NOT accommodating, customer friendly or business like.
The hotel's reception is open only for check-in of guests. It is unattended / closed before and after. The inside of hotel remain dark and without lights in corridors or common areas. Compartmentalisation of living area is claustrophobic as it remains dark and unattended constantly. No help is available if key is mistakenly inaccessible. All inside lights in common areas are sensor operated.
Very good budget accommodation in Charlottenburg. Nice breakfast and friendly family run hotel.
It was clean, good value for money and for us the location was great. Good breakfast too!
We didn't like that there were washing machines and dryers in our daughter's bathroom which made it very hot in already warm weather. In winter it would have felt cosy though :-)
Location is good. The hotel is situated nearby the U-bahn (Bismarckstrasse) for quick access to the city. There are multiple dining en shop facilities in the neighborhood.
- The staff is not very friendly. When you come across their room they won't greet you. - Had problems with paying by creditcard. They preferred cash, but I didn't want to do it for my own safety. In the end they accepted the creditcard. Very annoying and not friendly. - I booked a room with bath, and they tried to place me in a room with a bath in the hallway. Not very nice. - The rooms are OK, but just functional not pretty. There was no extra power connector available in the room itself for charging batteries etc, only in the bathroom. - The light in the hallways are always switched off unless you move. They switch off again in less than a minute. Not very inviting to enter a dark hallway. - The hotel is situated at the 5th and 6th floor in a normal building with apartments for other inhabitants. The entrance from the street is filthy and not very inviting. - There is a elevator but you still have to take some stairs to enter the hotel. - Internet is free and good. You get a key for it. Unfortunately the key wasn't valid anymore the evening before I left, and there was no one that I could turn to. - Breakfast basic and is served between 8.00 and 10.00. Only hard boiled eggs and some warm bread rolls. When you come in late you will find most of it is taken and they won't supplement
it was good value for price waht we paid Breakfast was good
we didn,t like that toulet isn't in the room, but in the passageway TV is very small, my notebook is bigger :)
Clean, comfort and with nice breakfast. Also located in a good place which is close to U-, S-Bahn and many restaurants and shops.
heating system seems not good
Arrived middle of night. Corridor to hotel was completely dark and ominous. Didnt know if we were even in right place. Its a room in apartments kinda deal. You could hear neighbors.
good for tranzit (nearby a stop for bus to Tegel)
the breakfast starts at 08:00
No shower gel and shampoo
The location was very convenient but our room was quiet. The breakfast provided was a good selection and the bedroom and separate private bathroom were very clean and spacious. We liked being in a typical Berlin appartment block.
The tap over the wash basin in the bathroom was rather big for the size of basin; you got water on you if not careful!
Breakfast was a little too "cold meat and cheese" WiFi cost 5 Euro per day and was very slow.
Check-in was from 12pm, but we wanted to drop our bags off an hour early. This was the biggest issue ever. There was no one in the hotel. The bell didnt work, we had to wait for another resident in the building to let us in. Then the staff that actually turned out to be there didn't speak any German or English (I speak both fluently) and had no access to the reception. We originally said to her we wanted to drop our bags and come back at 5 to check in which wasnt a problem. But then we changed our minds, because check-in opened at 12. EXCEPT FOR SHE WAS STILL ALONE THEN AND STILL HAD NO ACCESS TO THE RECEPTION OR ROOMS. she had to ring the hotel owner to come around (which took 30min) for us to check in. Not on when you book a hotel room and the staff isn't there/ready for you to check in when it says on the booking check-in is from 12pm.
