Hotel Binz    

Staff were extremely friendly and accomodating, especially with our young son Location was great, breakfast was good and good value. Deluxe Room was of good size, with small terrace, separate seating area and a powerful shower

No lift if on upper floor, beds a little soft and room a little too bright and warm at night for our tastes

Terrific location inside the old city, just 50ft from the beautiful city square. Rooms clean and comfortable, and breakfasts were very nice. Definitely recommended.

Though internet password was available , connection was impossible . Ive never had problems in other establishments in the world but my settings wouldnt allow me to connect to this one

Location was great. We came for the xmas market, and they were just behind the hotel. Room and bed were spacious. we travelled with a 22 month toddler, just enough.

The mattress was saggy, if we stayed longer, we could've had back pain. No shower power. but ok. no lift. we were on the third floor and only stayed 1 night, so the rest of the luggage stayed in the car.

Excellent location at entrance of charming and beautiful old town. Bernkastel- Kues is a great location for exploring middle Moselle area. Large room with sitting area. Good continental breakfast. Parking was available nearby for a small charge. If we ever return to Bernkastel, would have no hesitation in staying at Hotel Binz.

Some people may have a problem sleeping as church bells rang all night. As it was cool, we slept with the double-glazed windows closed and we had no trouble sleeping. However, as Berncastel old town small and compact, anyone staying in old town would hear the bells. Location far outweighed any disturbance caused by bells.

good size rooms

very noisy. opposite a dance hall from which drunken people made a lot of noise on vacating the premises, also a very loud church bell and clock. We lost a lot of sleep.

It's location in the town. Once you arrived you have no need of transport unless you want to travel out of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I could not fault it one bit.

We loved everything about it! The staff was wonderful, the room was spacious and scrupulously clean. The breakfast was great and we wished we had more time there. We were a party of three and preferred to share a room if possible. This is sometimes difficult, but Hotel Binz was able to accomodate us in their two bedroom penthouse. The value was very good for the room we had.

Excellent little Hotel in the pedestrianized area of the town. Staff were friendly and very helpful and breakfast was superb. Bernkastel is a picture perfect town with many timber faced buildings, cafe's and restaurants and Hotel Binz is in the perfect location. Rooms were well furnished and very clean. We could reserve a car parking space at time of booking for about 3 euros

Hotel closes at 6 P.M., so guests enter through a back entrance and no faciliities available; similarly the town seemed to close down around 7 P.M. - restaurants were open but the place had a "dead" feel. "Penthouse" had a somewhat soulless if clean atmosphere and no tea or coffee making facilities in spite of hotel being closed from 6 P.M. - a disgrace! Advertised wifi reception in penthouse was very poor and intermittent. Penthouse on 4th floor with no lift, so guest had better be of Schwarzenegger build! Door handle in bathroom was circular and so stiff that two (perfectly capable) adult females in party could not turn it which was uncomftable and required a towel to be used to signal occupation. There is no excuse for such nonsense. Church bell chimes every quarter hour, then the hour, so at midnight you get 16 peals. At 10 night and 7 morning you get 2:17 mins bell ringing. As the bell is right next to the hotel, a disturbed might is almost guaranteed. Lastly, staff training: we were greeted with the phrase "Sie muessen" - "ou have to"(no I don't, I'm on holiday) and another member of staff regaled guests loudly with complaints about long hours and having to share tips with other staff which she considered unfair...not what one wants to endure while having the otherwise very good breakfast. I suggest the owners take a greater interest in their business and raise their standards as I know from experience that there are much better- run hotels in the area. I would recommend the Mosel(le) area to any adult(s) who want to experience a very beautiful area with friendly people, great walking and cycling facilities, river trips etc, all reasonably priced. We will be back to the area but intend to stay in beautiful and lively Cochem.

Fantastic room with spacious room tub,with huge, beautiful bathroom with spa tub, shower. The hotel is located in the centrum and has easy access to all the shops, restaurants, wine cafes and river cruises.

Church bell tower was next door and was endless, we did get use to it and really enjoyed our stay.

I had to carry my bags up three floors stairs without assistance

the hotel is in an excellent location, room very comfortable,no view from our room on 2nd floor however we did have large balcony and a covered seating area to watch tv and small fridge which was very handy. staff spoke english. breakfast typical continental but good choice

Cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness, friendly manner toward us during our stay-two moms with two daughters. We would go back again to stay in this lovely hotel in this storybook town. Thank you to all the Hotel Binz staff.

Nice family owned hotel with good breakfast. Our penthouse appartment was spacious and clean with two bedrooms and a livingroom. Very suitable for a family of 3 persons. Recently furnished and decorated with style. Location of hotel excellent by the market square and close to river Mosel with several good restaurants close by. Parking ok. Personnel friendly and spoke also English.

No lift. Church bell could be heard very clearly every 15 minutes from 7am to 22pm.

This hotel is like a second home to us and we always enjoy staying here when we visit the Mosel because of the warm welcome we receive.
