Good service. Happy people. Excellent historic hotel. Excellent restaurant. Very good transfer service to and from the airport. First of november - a bit too calm (but we knew that from before), both hotel and village. Cellar ("nightclub") closed on week-nights. |

The restaurant was excellent. They have very loud live music once a week till two in the morning. We had to ask twice before the noise level was reduced and we had to sleep with the windows closed in order to obtain a modicum of peace for sleeping. Loud live music is not a good idea if you are trying to sell accomodation where guests can sleep |

After picking up my friend at the airport, we returned to the downstairs bar next to the courtyard. Due to Bernkastel being a tourist location and frequently accepting outsiders, my reception at the bar did not rank as high as the hotel, itself. I have lived in Germany for three months and I work to learn the language, customs, and courtesies. One of the bartenders did not care too much for me or my attempts. A slight mark against an otherwise excellent stay. |

Excellent main house, very attentive, helpful staff. Warm friendly atmosphere. We were surprised that the accommodation rooms were minimalist modern behind the beautiful old restaurant reception main house. Car park is 200m from hotel, secure but open air. |

Very helpful staff. Wonderful ambience - a picturesque old hotel in a picturesque town in a wonderful natural setting. Good evening meal (soups particularly good) and superb breakfast. Very efficient modern shower with lots of hot water. The individual rooms in the annex are a little bare (eg cork tile floors). This doesn't worry us at all because we would much rather go to a pretty old hotel with character than a faceless modern hotel with pile carpets - but others might think differently. |

The hotel staff was friendly and left us in peace. Most hotels have a formal complaint procedure. If you didn't file the complaint during your stay, you can send a written complaint letter to the address of the hotel. |

Great breakfast We stayed on the top floor and it was very warm in the room whereas the temperature outside was around 20C. The furniture was outdated, heating in bathroom was on (and couldn't turn it off) and part of the lighting was broken |

The 4 of us un our party found the hotel to be extremely pleasant in a rustic and charming way. Our accommodation in the annexe immediately across the quaint Bernkastel street was of modern standard however. Breakfast buffet was reassuringly of traditional German 'Art'! There was some occasional noise from the tiny, windy, cobbled street below later in the night - hardly anything to bother about however. |

We loved the hotel. The location was excellent, the garden lovely and the restaurant first class. We ate there both nights of our stay and the setting in the garden was perfect. Excellent food and wine and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and they even did us a take away breakfast as we had an early flight. My only complaint - we didnt stay long enough |

Nice biergarten and nice looking restaurant but not affordable! 29€ for a stake is a bit too much in a village like this. Lousy room. Never have slept in a hotel with windows under one meter from the street level. No AC and could not even leave the window open because somebody could just step in from the window! Traffic and usually normal noices from life could not be avoided even with closed windows. The first thing early morning was to leave and fast. Terrible! If You want to have a drive along the Mosel - wich is very nice - overnight at Trier. |

Th town of Bernkastel is beautiful.Breakfast at hotel was very good. The rooms were basic and not cleaned daily. Extremely noisy (hotel vehicles + bottle collections) and so my group hardly slept whilst we were there. |

We used the hotel as a 1 night stop en-route during a Driving trip through Europe staying at a picturesque place. Our ideal requirements with our party consisting of 6 male adults would have been 3 twin rooms , the hotel accomodated us with 6 single rooms at additional cost which were not in keeping with the hotel environment. |

The hotel is atmospheric with an excellent restaurant and a wine cellar popular with locals. The beds are not very comfortable. |

This is the second time we stay here and we still love it. It is a very German style hotel. They cater to all types, they even provided a bowl of water for our dog when we were having drinks in the garden |
