Our family of 4 (2 boys ages 4 and 7) stayed at Hotel Rheinfels. The staff were quite accomodating. We would not hesitate to stay there again. N/A appropriate for the star rating. Again, the staff were awesome. |

Excellent location overlooking the Rhine, very clean and attractive. We were upgraded to what must have been the presidential suite, it was huge and luxurious! Room overlooked the street/riverfront but we never noticed any outside noise. Definitely one of the nicest places we've stayed in Europe. The host was very attentive and helpful. |

We couldn't be happier with the hotel. The Room overlooking the Rhine was excellent. I would recommendthis hotel to anyone. The owners are very friendly and make guests very welcome. Sanke Goar is an undiscovered gem on the Rhine. |

Location was excellent for boat trips along the Rhine. The room rates were very reasonable for its location. Many reviewers stated that train noise was a big problem for rooms in St Goar near the Rhine, but we could barely hear the trains from our room. The weather had been warm but turned cold during our stay and the owner was very helpful in providing us with an electric heater. |

We arrived by train to the area much earlier than the check-in time. We wanted to explore St. Goar as soon as possible without having to drag our luggage with us. Hotel Rheinfels permitted us to leave our belongings there before we checked-in and made turning our room over a priority after the previous occupant left. We really appreciated that! As we had to catch an early train out of St. Goar the next morning, they even allowed us to have our breakfast earlier than the 8AM start. |

Comfortable roomy and well equipped. Staff friendly & helpful. The apartments are a bit dark & bit back from the river / centre of town. Beds average for comfort! There are no laundry facilities either with the apartments or in the town. |

The hotel was wonderfully located right in the center of St. Goar along the Rhine. The owners were new and went out of their way to be sure we felt welcomed. There morning breakfast was a great start to our day. |

One of the very best hotels with a beautiful view of the Rhein! The Sangha family are very personable owner/operators. Across the street from barge boat tours and auto ferry. Wonderful experience! |

The room was immaculate. I had a great view of the Rhine River and the Katz castle across the river. It is located right near the main street/square. The hotel does not have parking, so you have to look around town for street parking. The furnishings, while well kept, were not of a style you would expect in this location. The bathrooms were very dated, but clean. The shower was extremely small. Some times the hallways smelled of Indian food. The room, however, never had this smell. |

We had a beautiful view of the Rhine River from our large windows. We were very pleased with this hotel. Service was helpful; the manager looked up train schedules for us as we planned our tour of the area. The location was excellent - 1 min to the kd boat dock and 5 min to the train station. While breakfast was more than adequate, it was not as extensive and varied as any of the other hotels that we visited in Germany. There are no elevators, which was not a problem for us even though we were on the 5th floor, however someone who doesn't like climbing stairs should request a room on a lower floor. |
