The owners Stephan or Julie greet you upon arrival. Both are very nice and helpful with information. We had a nice room with large bath by Europe standards. They offer various types of rooms, so inquire. There is a nice common area to relax after a busy day. The breakfast offerings are fabulous! Variety of fresh breads and cheese, I would try a different one each day! Eggs, yougurt, cereal, fruit, a variety of cured meats. Tea or coffee, the best coffee ever! So close to everything, train station, shopping and downtown for dinner, walk everywhere. Many wonderful places to hike around Garmisch. This place has a pool and sauna! Great after a day of activity. I would highly recommend Roter Hahn.

Conveniently located for skiers, clean, comfortable rooms, quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast, you can relax in the sauna . Recommend. Alla.Ruussia. Internet does not always work.

The customer service was excellent. We have never been treated so well by hotel personnel before staying here. They speak English, know all the sights to see in the area and are very friendly. We stayed over Christmas and they even had a plate of cookies with a very cute tree ornament for us waiting in our room. The room was small but we don't spend much time in our room, so for us it was fine. The room was very clean and for us that is more important then room size. We will tell anyone going to Garmisch to stay in this hotel. Oh, the location is great! There was nothing we didn't like.

Location - very close to Zugspitze (unfortunately the weather was so bad that we never made that trip); also 2 minute walk to many good restaurants in Garmish. Hotel recommended La Vie across the road, which was excellent. Large modern room. Free WiFi (although no signal in our room).

True to the advertised information, Hotel Roter Haus Garmisch- Partenkirchen was only a few minutes down the road from the train station (where there is also bus station). The hosts, Stephan and Julie made us very welcome and were helpful with tourist information and advice. This is a personally run hotel. Best of all was the great breakfast! What a choice-from fresh breads (even a toaster-not seen in Europe before this hotel) and rolls to fruit, boiled eggs, ham and salmon, cheese and yoghurt, cereals, juices and surprise, surprise homemade cake! All served to guests in an air of conviviality and friendliness. WiFi was weak in our room but the shared lounge had great reception as well as having a tv with dvd player, a small library, comfortable lounge and chairs plus two tables with plenty of seating. Other facilities included an indoor pool with a beautiful wet-edge, a sauna and lounges located in the garden for sunny days which we were fortunate to strike. Hotel Roter Haus was well located to the villages of Garmisch and Partenkirchen where something was always happening and restaurants and shopping areas were in abundance. When next in Garmisch we will definitely choose to stay at the Roter Haus Hotel.

We were thrilled with our stay at Hotel Roter Hahn Garni. Breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, the pool/sauna area was immaculate and very relaxing, and the owners were friendly and charming. The hotel is about 2 blocks away from the main train station and Zugspitze/Alpspitze cog train station, which made our daily adventures very convenient. The owners have a huge binder of tourist and area information available for perusal in the lobby that was very helpful as we planned what to do each day. Our room was called a "small double", but it was bigger than many of the hotel rooms we had across Switzerland and Germany, and had a lovely balcony overlooking the street and the mountains. The road was a little noisy in the morning, but the windows were completely soundproof and we slept well with them closed and with earplugs one night when it was too warm to close the windows. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and fondly recommend it.

Persönlicher Kontakt zu den Besitzern des Hotels. Waren täglich vor Ort und haben selbst mitgearbeitet. Familiäre Atmosphäre sowohl beim Personal als auch bei den Besitzern. Sehr gute Beratung bei allen Fragen.

Sehr saubere Zimmer,und ruhige, unaufgeregte Atmosphäre im Haus, liebevolle Kleinigkeiten zum Wohlfühlen. Ein excellentes Frühstück und wie gewünscht Kaffee, Wasser (heiß) oder Tee mehr als man trinken konnte. Sehr gepflegter Pool. Freundliche, unaufdringliche Mitarbeiter, sehr hilfsbereit. Toplage im Ort- trotzdem gute Nachtruhe. ein kleiner Radio wäre schön gewesen.

Preis/Leistung stimmt hier auf jeden Fall. Gemuetliches kleines Zimmer (haetten auch groesseres haben koennen), Hallenbad (28°C), Sauna, Aufzug, W-Lan, schoenes Fruehstuecksbuffet, sogar 2 citybikes zum ausleihen und das alles inklusive !!! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Excelente ubicación, puedes ir andando a todas partes e incluso te dan una tarjeta para viajar en trasporte público gratis durante toda tu estancia Trato del personal inmejorable, personal y atento. Te aconsejan muy bien sobre las rutas y zonas a visitar. Habitaciión y baño grande y limpia. Buffet desayuno bueno. Piscina muy agradable. Repetiremos seguro.
