We have always been received in a friendly (like family) manner. This was our 4th or 5th stay in this hotel and each time has been fantastic. We highly recommend the Roter Hahn to other travelers. Good food, excellent breakfast, and above all a warm welcome!!!!!!

It was a perfect location, right in the heart of the old town. The atmosphere was lovely, very old-fashioned and rustic. The room had everything we needed and was quite spacious. We really enjoyed our experience there, and Rothenburg is a beautiful place to explore. Breakfast was quite basic for the price.

We used to stay at this hotel back when we lived in Munich, and it hasn't lost any of its charm since then. They even had a portrait of their beautiful white dog from back in the day up on the wall (sniff). The key aspect is location, dead-center in town on Siedlmeyer Strasse and directly across from the Kriminal Museum. We arrived at the train station oustide of town and a 6 minute/8 Euro taxi ride had us at the front door. Some lovely decor inside, especially the restaurant/bar, and the rooms are nice too. We caught a late evening thunderstorm and drank Franken wine while watching it underneath the restaurant's outdoor umbrellas. Fun!! It's a bit surprising breakfast is not included in a hotel of this class. Also, bathrooms are really tiny, but that's really nothing too surprising for this part of Europe

Fantastic location very old hotel with great atmosphere friendly helpful staff who spoke English. If you want a sleek modern hotel where every room is the same this is not for you. If you want a place stuffed full of character go! Food good and everything at a reasonable price. Hotel does have its own parking but drop your bags off first as it is a 5 minute walk away. A small price for such convenience in the middle of a very old walled town. Would go again and recommend

The staff was very polite and helpful. The location is terrific, it´s close to the center and silent room. The parking is a little bit far, but all the hotels in the central area doesn´t have its own garage.

Un hotel muy bien situado. Unas habitaciones muy confortables y acogedoras. El servicio personal excelente. El servicio de comidas muy bueno. La única pega es que la zona es peatonal y tienen el parquing del hotel un poco lejos.

Die Lage ist top, nur ein paar Schritte zum Marktplatz. Einzelzimmer war geräumig und sauber, hatte Fernseher und Minibar. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig, das Frühstück dazuzubuchen ist nicht empfehlenswert. Brötchen und Kaffee war gut, dazu gab es eine Sorte Wurst, eine Sorte Käse, 2 Sorten Marmelade, kein Honig, etwas Müsli U. Joghurt. Lauwarme Rühreier waren 10 Minuten nach Frühstücksbeginn schon weg und wurden auch nicht nachgefüllt. Was auch nicht schön war, am Ende unseres Frühstücks ist uns aufgefallen das manche Gäste gefragt wurden ob sie evtl. Ein gekochtes Ei, oder ein Spiegelei hätten..... Wenn sie soetwas anbieten, sollte man es vielleicht allen Gästen anbieten. Ach ja, habe mir mal einen Piccolo Sekt geleistet... War nicht kalt gestellt und man hat für diesen 0,2 Schluck warmen Sekt stolze 6 Euro kassiert. Meiner Meinung nach wucher!
