Hotel Royal  

Just a warning we did not find in the reviews - this hotel is on top of a strip club in the red light district of Munich. Price was very high because Oktoberfest, and room was poor value for money. Loud until about 3:30 am when things start to shut down.

Great value for money, it was near everything, perfectly located in the center of the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable and with enough space. They offer free internet and soft drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) 24/7. The receptionist lady was extremely friendly and she had no problem to come to our room to check the in room safe, as it was not working, and promised to get it fixed, which has actually took place in no time and we didn't even notice as they did it while we were not in the room.

The only thing, which I had no problem with but it may represents an issue for others, is that this part of the city is full with sex shops & strip clubs. However, it represented no problem to me as it was not offensive.

I have stayed at then hotel a number of times, it has always been consistently good,

everything exept for the bathroom which was too small

Staff were lovely, and very friendly. They gave great advice and even allowed us to use their free wifi and the tea and coffee machine while waiting for our night train, although we had checked out hours ago. The room was clean and spacious, with access to a large shared balcony. Location was also fantastic. After a six hour train journey, we were relieved to simply walk three minutes down the road to put our bags down.

La ubicacion a tan solo 5 minutos caminando desde la estacion central de trenes. Desde ahi se puede andar al centro y hay muchas opciones de comida.

El ascensor un poco pequeno y no llega al 7 piso, piso en el cual estabamos. El cuarto tenia tv por cable pero todo en aleman.

Great location, simle functional rooms and the free tea/coffee and wifi is appreciated when you've been out all day

Everything was great about this hotel. Very nice and comfortable rooms, led tv, fast internet, even safe. We could even get an umbrella for free! Coffee and tea is free of charge in the lobby. Nice view from the 6th floor. Highly recommended.

Good location; though it's just above a tabledance bar, but not as noisy as described in other reviews. Not in the red light dstrict, but many tabledance bars on this street.

Wonderful location with excellent Price/Quality ratio. Hotel is in middle of city with 5 minutes walk to the center. Lot of restaurants, shopping and grocery stores like Aldi and Lidl nearby. Underground car park nearby is priced at 10Euro for 24h. Hotel offers very good location/staff and clean tidy rooms. German Breakfast at 9 Euro is amazing. Very good free high speed internet access. Tea and Coffee free for 24h in the lobby where you can also work with your laptop. I had wonderful stay here.

This hotel is very good hotel within a five minute walk of the main train station and two subway stations and within easy walking distance of Marienplatz. It offers good service (friendly, knowledgeable staff, and free internet access) with an excellent breakfast buffet (at a reasonable extra cost).

Unfortunately, it is in a rather seedy location, in the heart of the local red light district which is embarassing to walk through and makes for noisy streets well into the night. Were this hotel in a different location, we would rate it as excellent but, under the circumstances, the location has an effect on the overall rating.
