Gefallen hat die Historie, die um das Schloss rankt. Fernsehtechnik überaltert, Fernsehschrank sehr abgenutzt, für ein Vier-Sterne- Hotel nicht üblich, nicht bei dem Preis. Frühstücksbuffet eher mittleres Niveau, kein hochwertiger Aufschnitt O.ä..

Sehr gut, so wie man sich das Schlafen auf einer Burg/Schloß vorstellen kann. Speisen im Restaurant und Frühstücksraum waren gut und ausreichend.

Séjour d'une nuit dans la suite 35. Situation exceptionnelle de l'hôtel sur une colline boisée ; depuis la tour, la vue sur les alentours est imprenable. Le personnel était impeccable ; à notre départ, la charmante dame de l'accueil nous a même permis de visiter d'autres -superbes- suites afin que nous puissions découvrir les différents aménagements selon les ailes du château, qui, de l'extérieur comme de l'intérieur, est tout simplement magnifique ; c'était très sympathique de sa part. Notre suite, dotée d'une belle vue, était très spacieuse et bien aménagée avec un impressionnant couloir panoramique (style "chemin de ronde") menant de l'entrée vers la chambre à coucher. Rien à redire en matière de propreté. Nous n'avons pas dîné au restaurant gastronomique, mais il est très prisé et unanimement (re)connu dans la région : son cadre, la "Rittersaal" est superbe. L'établissement figure même sur des cartes postales et dans des guides touristiques comme endroit de la région à visiter absolument , c'est tout dire ! La salle de bain est beaucoup trop petite et rudimentaire pour une suite, mais ce sont malheureusement les contraintes inhérentes à ce type de bâtiment ancien. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est acceptable, mais un peu restreint par rapport à ce dont on peut avoir l'habitude pour un 4 étoiles en Allemagne. L'hôtel est excentré et très éloigné (largement plus de 5 km) du centre de la petite ville de Meiningen. Il n'y a pas de sauna.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt ,nettes Personal. Leider wie in vielen Hotels fehlt es an der regelmäßigen Inspektion der Zimmer.So hat sich in der Dusche schwarzer Schimmelbelag angesiedelt,die Mückengitter haben große Löscher und die Heizung rauscht nachts ziemlich laut obwohl sie abgedreht war.

Veldig staselig og godt bevart slott med flotte rom. Vi var ihvertfall kjempeheldig med vårt (nr 41). God mat servert i Riddersalen gav nesten kongelig stemning. Veldig imøtekommende og hyggelig personale som opptrådte profesjonelt. Er man ute etter et romantisk, stilig opphold er dette plassen!

Die Idee, die Ausstattung eines alten Herrschaftssitzes mit dem Komfort eines Vier-Sterne-Hotels des 21. Jahrhunderts zu verbinden, ist einfach großartig. Der Besucher fühlt sich in eine längst vergangene Zeit zurückversetzt. Unser Zimmer (eine Himmelbettsuite) war liebevoll gestaltet und das runde Schlafzimmer in einem der Türme hatte einen atemberaubenden Ausblick in alle Himmelsrichtungen. Ein durch und durch gelungener Urlaub.
