Hostel 2962 - Garmisch  

Les chambres est l'hotel est à reconstruire complétement, il doit daté des années 50 !! Seule la moquette semble avoir été changée. Rapport qualité prix tout à fait excessive compte tenu du confort ! Pas de Wi-Fi !

Did not know what to expect, but were delighted with the location (very near the train station) and the decor. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Very clean, modern bathrooms in our room - we had two room for 4. Very comfortable for our family of 5. Breakfast-fresh and good variety of choices. Will definitely stay again.

Super location, friendly staff, good deal for the money. People of all ages staying here. Nice breakfast buffet and nice living room with tv, comfortable chairs and beverages.

The rooms with the private baths are great. Some rooms you have to share.

Close to train station

After staying at Gaestehaus Richter I was a bit disappointed in the facility at Hostel 2962. There was no elevator. The breakfast was an additional charge so we did not eat there. No one made our bed or gave us clean towels. Although the staff was not rude they did not make us feel welcome enough. I guess Paula Richter in Oberammergau spoiled us with her good service and great breakfast which was included in the price of the room.

It's quiet and near the station.

Although I accidentally booked the super saver rate for the wrong dates, when I emailed the hotel they changed the dates and kept the rate without any hassle. I also arrived 4 days earlier than I had planned and was given a room at the same super saver rate. The hotel is super convenient. The breakfast was very good. The room quite comfortable (although without T.V.). Staff was friendly and helpful.

The first room that I was shown smelled (probably tobacco), was small and in great need of renovation--not at all what the rooms looked like on line. When I asked at the desk if there was another room available or if all the rooms were similar, I was quickly given a very nice room. Note: beware--all the rooms are not equal!

Cheap price, large and clean room.

The hotel staff was welcoming. Location at the middle of Garmisch made it easy to find.It was close to the center of town and to a creek who's noise made it romantic. The prices (off season)made it atractive in a town that conciders very expensive.we got the up stairs rooms who were equipped with all necessery kitchen facilities. The rooms were clean.It was good place to stop on the way.It is a great placr for a ski vacation.

The hotel is very close to the railway station, ideal for catching the funicular railway to the skiing area on the Zugspitze.The staff were very friendly and helpful, On our last day we were allowed to leave our bags in the room after checking out, so we got a whole days skiing in, and a shower afterwards!. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The room was well heated, a good size, with comfortable beds, ample storage, and with a large balcony. The hotel is excellent value for money.
