Hostel 2962 - Garmisch  

wonderful location and facilities, staff was friendly and place was comfortable.

This was our second stay in Hostel 2962, after a great holiday there in 2011. When we arrived, the manager remembered us from last year! Exactly as in our stay last year, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast is very good; all in all, excellent value for money. At the end of our stay we could leave our luggage, and have a shower when we returned from the last morning's skiing before getting the train. The lounge has been refurbished since last year, with new furniture, and includes an honesty box for cold beer and soft drinks - perfect! The location cannot be improved upon; a quiet back street just off the main road, only a short walk to the railway station for the train to Munich, or to the Classic or Zugspitze ski areas, and about 5 minutes walk to Partenkirchen town centre.

A really nice hostel in an excellent location. Really friendly staff and excellent customer service.

It is badly heated, it was very cold. This place of youth parties.

Did not know what to expect, but were delighted with the location (very near the train station) and the decor. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Very clean, modern bathrooms in our room - we had two room for 4. Very comfortable for our family of 5. Breakfast-fresh and good variety of choices. Will definitely stay again.

It's quiet and near the station.

Although I accidentally booked the super saver rate for the wrong dates, when I emailed the hotel they changed the dates and kept the rate without any hassle. I also arrived 4 days earlier than I had planned and was given a room at the same super saver rate. The hotel is super convenient. The breakfast was very good. The room quite comfortable (although without T.V.). Staff was friendly and helpful.

The first room that I was shown smelled (probably tobacco), was small and in great need of renovation--not at all what the rooms looked like on line. When I asked at the desk if there was another room available or if all the rooms were similar, I was quickly given a very nice room. Note: beware--all the rooms are not equal!

Very Friendly Staff. Big Clean Rooms All Facilities were upto the mark. Location is very good. Nice view of mountains and the tourist attractions are at 5-10 mins walk distance. Has most of the things required at a very inexpensive rates.

I got a family room for a group of 4 friends. There were 2 beds for the couple and 2 bunker beds for children The couples bed was good and comfortable. But the bunker beds had light directly over it. It can be dangerous as it is barely few centimetres above the bed. Also bed did sag a lot. So not a good position to sleep on even for kids.

Very helpful & friendly staff, spacious room and very close to train station & Partenkirchen town centre.

Professional staff, high standard of presentation, all basic services readily available.

Given the modest price, there was nothing to dislike.
