We thoroughly enjoyed our stay @ Hotel Sonne. The staff, the room, the hotel atmosphere and design, the breakfast buffet - all of it was superb. The staff are friendly, professional, knowledgable and helpful. The location is perfect- simply walk outside and you're at the beginning of the pedestrian/shopping area. It is a 5 min. Drive from the hotel to the parking for the castles. We were traveling w/ our 13 yr old son, and when we weren't at a castle or shopping, he was quite content utilizing the wi-fi in the room. We highly recommend Hotel Sonne. The only "hitch" was finding a brief parking spot to check-in and receive the room card to enter the hotel parking.

We had a one night stay at the hotel and it is right in the heart of the town which was great. The car was parked in the underground garage and they allowed us to stay after our check out so we utilised the local bus service for our trip to the schloss which was cheap, on time and the right thing to do for us.The bus station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. We ate twice in the hotel in the 1st floor restaurant and the bar bistro wrapped in blankets outside which was great. The food is good quality and the steak was superb. All the staff are great and the receptionist was very helpful. We would stay again. The free use of the washing machine was very welcomed as we have paid a lot for hotel laundry service in the past.

The bed was wonderful with down pillows and comforter. The desk clerk, Franz, offered an upgrade at no expense, and gave us free indoor parking.

The meat was excellent, as the hotel staff. The hotel don't have a conditionning system; the room was warm and on the 1st floor; below the windows (opened during all the night) were the route with a lot of traffic and peoples was crying.

The hotel was in a fantastic location, near the railway and old city. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was large, clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast included a wide range of food and again the staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall the hotel was more than we expected and contributed to the wonderful time we had in Fussen and we would highly recommend it.

Very good location near by train station. Very good service, the reception lady Marian(similar pronanciation) from Spain took us to train station when we met problem in buying train tickets from machine in very cold day, even the station is not far we still feel very warm in getting such friendly help. We also enjoy the very good breakfast and dinner there.

The Hotel Sonne is a gorgeous boutique style hotel. Attention to detail ranging from the quirky, yet stylish decor, Resturant extras like Nutella machine & fresh orange juice machine & free use of iPads blew us away. Would love to stay again. Nothing at all to dislike

Our family of 4 spent two nights at Hotel Sonne, in Villa Claudia Fam5 suite, 2 interconnecting rooms. Very modern decor, great staff attitude, so friendly, great breakfast. Enjoyed gluhwein on offer in lobby! Liked the dressed mannequins displayed around the hotel!

Worse than expaected. They said it is a special hotel, but is not true, at least my room. It seems un Ibis, little beds, bad pillow, room not so big. It's not as in the pictures at all.And expensive and without breakfast.

The reception people are very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is very good, the decoration is nice and the location great! Very good choice, maybe the best in town. The mattress and the pillow are very based in the german way/stile. They must change the mattress and have options more updated for the pillows, specially in a hotel with high quality purpose.

Excellent location right in the middle of town and just few blocks from the train station. They worked very hard to make sure we had everything we needed. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially Franz at Reception. He did anything he could to help us be comfortable. He also did any job in the hotel where he was needed. The room was large and comfortable.
