Hotel Sonne    

The hotel Sonne was great! It was the perfect hotel in the perfect place. We were there to visit King Ludwig's Palaces and the location was perfect. The castles were 10 minutes away, and the hotel is in the middle of Fussen, so access to restaurants was easy! We have a young child and the hotel went out of the way to make her comfortable. I would DEFINITELY stay there again!

There is VERY little I can say negatively about the hotel. The parking was tight, but there was enough!

Perfect location near the old town and close to the castles. Large room. Secure parking. Excellent staff - very accomodating about our early arrival. Excellent breakfast. Free wi-fi

Staff friendly and helpful, excellent room, big choice of food at breakfast - great cheeses, good location for access to public transport. They gave us a free drink in the bar while we waited for our room to be ready.

Great staff greeted us, parking beneath hotel, best breakfast ever was included, quiet, comfortable and relaxing rooms. Hotel restaurant dinner was amazing. Less than 10 minutes from castles.

I really can't say anything negative about this place. It was one of the nicest places in Europe that we stayed at a really great price.

Very helpful staff, and a great hotel to stay for your visit to Fussen and visit the castles. Modern rooms with a nice breakfast included.

They had the best breakfast spread I have ever had in my life. There were about 15 tables in the breakfast room for guests, and just as much table space was devoted to laying out all of the different foods available. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to the train station and to the buses to the famous castles.

About the hotel itself I only have praise. Great location within a block of the train station and buses to the Castles. Friendly welcoming staff; interesting and slightly historical funky decor; comfortable and clean room. Top marks for the hotel and front desk and bar staff.

Unfortunately a bad experience at their restaurant colured our stay. We had booked for dinner and when we arrived were seated next to a loud group of 24 with a tour guide who felt the restaurant belonged to them. Unfortunately the staff felt the same way. We waited for our order to be taken while the group was served. It took 20 minutes to get our soup because they were serving the group. When we asked about it we were snapped at. Wine was spilled on our table without so much as an "excuse me" I asked for the manager and said that this was no way to treat guests - he told me that the group were guests too. I realize that these groups are their bread and butter but felt very much like a second class guest. We did not finish our meal but left to go elsewhere. In fairness we were not charged for what we had. And sadly what we had was very good. Its unfortunate but it really did ruin a part of our stay.

The hotel is located very near the train station and bus station. It is very easy to access to the town and the nearby castles. The hotel ambience is very nice and the breakfast is very delicious. I have booked the Claudia Family room and it has two connected bed rooms at a corner. The rooms are very nicely decorated. Both my friends and I are very happy at our stay.

My friends room are located above the cafe and the room are not really sound proof so you will hear people talkings during late night. My room is located above the shopping street and I hear echoes of talking when the group tours arrived in the evening.

An overall fantastc hotel - great facility (beautiful romantic touch) and location (10 min drive from the castle), superb customer service with everyone trying to make us feel at home. Lovelly touches: offering coffee/juice to everyone in the lobby, nice late breakfast (till 11:00 am) and even later check-out at 11:30 (nicely aligned with breakfast), small give-away gift at check out. Perhaps it is worth noting that I do travel a lot for business, stay at many hotels and I certainly know when I spot a good one. Rating when I was booking was 9.2 and I can honestly say it was worth every point of it. Professional people who know what they are doing!
