Hotel Sonne

Friendly staff, very clean room and fashionable. Probably the brightest room that I've stayed so far in Europe. The room was also spacey. Nice bath tub and excellent amenities - even slippers, bathrobe and shower cap. Staying here was a wonderful experience.

We chose the hotel for its closeness to the King Ludwig II's castles. The sauna was uncrowded and free of charge; very clean. The underground parking and the hotel restaurant were very convenient for our family after much activity during the day. Excellent breakfast.

The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was really great...best on our vacation in Germany and Switzerland. A fun, hip vibe. Location was very central to shopping and transportation (you can see it from the train station.)

The construction going on across the road and traffic noise made for the need to close the windows for quiet and afternoon naps difficult. Might be quieter in rooms not facing the traffic circle. The website makes the rooms look bigger than they are...but they are fine.

The location was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the bar/restaurant was a great place to relax. The room was good size and nice and the blackout blinds were also very nice.

I did not care for our room being right on the road. Other then that the hotel was very nice. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Rooms really modern then a very ordinary dated bathroom. Always book parking as if you arrive late it is impossible to park.

The hotel had Air conditioning and it was very hot while we were in Paris and we really appreciate this amenity

When we arrived, we found that our room was on the street, across from a seriously loud construction site. It was hot, and with no air conditioning or fan, we realised that we were in for a very hot night's "sleep" unless we could solve our problem. Mindful of previous comments, we approached the desk to ask for a solution to our problem - eg move to another room or provide a fan. To our relief, they gave us the portable air conditioner hey were using in the office. That, and their continued thoughtful service, made out stay very enjoyable.We also had very good meals in the restaurant and bar.

It seems that many European hotels are not aware that they have very hot weather at least for part of the year. At a minimum, hotels deserving of 3 stars or more should have fans in each room. They should have air conditioning to earn 4 stars.
