Star Inn Hotel Regensburg Zentrum  

The location was good as we arrived at the railway station with heavy suitcases and had only a short walk to the hotel

We asked for a room that did not look on to the railway line, but were told that all the rooms were allocated. That evening we heard a customer being offered a room on the quieter side of the hotel

We got a smoking room and it could not be change because the hotel was full. The room smelled really by smoke a lot. The window couild not be opened as it faceed the rail tracks and was extremely noisy if opened. Othewise the hotel was OK. If you are to book in this hotel ask for a non smoking room facing the street.

WiFi (WLan) costs 5 euro per hour !!!! One pc in foyer to use free. We always stay near the train station being train travellers thru Europe, but this is the first one that was actually on the train line. We could hear the announcements on the platforms and the freight trains were extremely noisy. Closing the double glazed windows cut out most of the noise, but then the room was hot & stuffy.

Room very ssmall

The hotel is very clean and its location is excellent within easy walking distance of the old town and most main attractions. The parking lot under the hotel is very convenient and inexpensive. Overall it is good value for the money.

There is only one serious issue - only a single tiny pillow is offered per person. They should get either two of these or a big one. Breakfast is rather expensive, but that is not an issue, as there are several places where one can grab a coffeee such as the next door bakery and the railway station which is a five-minute walk from the hotel.

Close to city center, good budget hotel to visit the town. Many rooms have the view (and possibly the noise, but I have not heard any) of railway station, so if possible ask for a room on the other side.

Staff speaks english, was very nice and helpful. Room is clean. Comfortable beds. No sounds, very quiet (we asked specifically for a quiet room). Location is good. Walking distance of Spital Biergarden (nice beergarden with cheap food) and old bridge. Parking space under the hotel is convenient.

Bathroom is a bit small although shower is very good (strong). Not the most romantic hotel but good stop for budget travellers.

The hotel was clean and new. The bed was comfortable. It was very near to a big shopping center, train station and city-bus terminal. Price/facilities is optimum (maybe a little expensive )

There was no hair-drier; no refrigerator, no internet (it was interrupted ). It was very near to train-station and the announces at the station annoyed us in the morning. Breakfast was expensive (€11). The bath/toilet/shower was very small.

Parking facilities, small but clean room. Ok for the price.
