Location is perfect. Breakfast - fairly good Room was tiny. Internet is very expensive and even though very low speed. We called to the reception and were told that in the lobby it is also paid. However next day we found out that in the lobby it is for free.

A true first class hotel! Outstanding building and location, impeccable service and the most curteous and best trained staff I have ever come across in any of the luxury hotels I have visited all around the globe! A real treat! I cannot think of a single thing that needs changing.

The room was very spacious, elegant and quiet. The staff friendly and forthcoming. No free wifi, which should be provided at this price, and the wifi that one can pay for is incredibly slow.

As much I was really satisfied by the top quality of rooms division, the check in was swift, room great, bedding excellent, super cloean, basically top of the top ... reception staff was very professional and well trained. We had a dinner in Intermezzo, first of all, the restaurant staff was perfect, only what was not perfect, was the food. We have ordered foie gras pate, which had milion other tastes and somewhere on the end you could feel foie gras ... potatoes with our steak supposed to be truffle potatoes ... I was wondering that only one truffle it saw ... was the word written on paper. Honestly, when I order foie gras paté, I expect pate that taste as foie gras!! Same with truffle potatoes ... Also the breakfast buffet was not creative at all ... I thing that chef needs to improve a lot!!

It is in a great location close to shops and the sights. Beautiful building, very historic. Staff were very friendly. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Very accommodating to children. The room was a little small for a 5 star luxury hotel and if we had used the baby cot offered we would have had no room to move around. This was a corner room and I am sure other rooms are bigger. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast selection was good however the service was slow and we had to ask for eggs which took a long time to come.

This is the 4th time that I have stayed at the Hotel Taschenbergpalais. Every room that I have stayed in has been well designed and very comfortable although this one was the best of all with a great view towards the Opera House. The staff were always charming and helpful. The breakfast would be perfect if it was not for the muddled system of checking the room number, clearing previously used tables and finally allowing one in. The food is without criticsism. The hotel location could not be better with everything within easy walking distance. It is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I would not stay anywhere else in Dresden. Only the system mentioned above of entry to the dining room. If a few people arrived at the same moment they could not cope.

The location is superb. Some of the staff were excellent: particularly the Concierges who could not have been more helpful. The food was good at breakfast although one would expect fresh orange juice as a matter of course at a hotel of this standard and price. (a) The gym facilities are a disgrace for a hotel which purports to be a 5 star hotel. (B) Some of the staff particularly in the breakfast room were rather abrupt and unfriendly (c) the main restaurant is far too expensive.

Good 5 start service. Nice little spa, with good massages. Parking below the building (at a cost), and doormen taking bags from car. For a 5-star hotel, I expected more comfortable beds.

“It is a beautiful hotel in an excellent situation. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. One thing we especially liked was the peace and quiet. It is the quietest hotel we have ever visited and we slept until the chambermaid knocked on the door at 9.00, something we have never done anywhere! the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had - we especially liked the champagne! It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.” Paul, Portadown |
