Score from 574 reviews Excellent
The hotel is wonderfully located, and the staff are charming and extremely helpful. My room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, although decor is dully brown. Apparently I was in an un-renovated room, so the other rooms might be more interesting. Large desk was good for working, and enough plugs etc for computer and phone charger.
The hairdryer was fixed into the wall; a give-away sign (usually) of a cheap hotel, and not at all in keeping with the 5-star nature of this one. When I remarked on it at checkout, the person agreed with me and said that the renovated rooms had ordinary hairdryers, which housekeeping would happily have brought to me. The hotel bar is lovely, but drinks eye-wateringly expensive.
Location. Staff. Bed.
All are excellent
,facilities, small room
Staff really friendly and very informative
Shame they have little nightlife other than foyer and bar
The ambiance of the hotel
Room too far from elevators
We like in general our stay. The hotel looks nice and the location is excellent The room was a little small but this is Europe..
The high price for breakfast.
the hotel suite was outdated and dark
Customer service, comfy rooms
Breakfast was 39 euros per person! Think this is the norm for top hotels in Munich but............
Staff absolutely superb. We were greeted like old friends & nobody could do enough. This was particularly impressive as it was a public holiday. Divine treatments at the spa - (ask for Claudia - one of the best therapists I have encountered). Swimming pool small but perfect for younger children. The food and staff at the Maximilluan were terrific. The lobster box is an absolute must. Be prepared for generous portions & discreet but friendly service. Overall, can't wait to return. Just marvellous.
Location of the hotel

They knew what my name was and they knew how to make me feel like the most important person in the hotel
The room was a little small but this is Europe..
Every thing location, facilities, staff, and overview
Very good location; nice staff and lobby, very good breakfast, though pricey.
For an old grand hotel - it lacks character; low ceilings, noise from the room above; bedding very uncomfortable. To keep room cool - AC quite noisy.
Location and hotel ambience.
Slow service and arrogant staff who were unable to effectively deal with electricity faults in our three rooms. The move to alternative rooms at 10:30pm on a Saturday night was unhelpful.
Location and help of housekeeping, footwalk distance to opera, theater and restaurants shopping area,
Some areas of the hotel look a little dated
