Score from 580 reviews Very good
location comfi bed
The water sink in the shower is smelly.
the cost of Internet service in room was extremely high
Location is excellent in a beautiful part of city; charming and well-appointed rooms; very good breakfast; friendly staff
A coffee/tea-making facility in the rooms would be nice
Room as requested, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed.
Comfortable bed, nice room and great breakfast. Superfriendly staff!
The charges for the wireless seem high.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
- With 12,50 eur the WiFi's totally overpriced and also terrible. That, plus the one-day plan isn't really a 24 hour long plan as you get disconnected during the night and can't dial in again in the morning. - Staff was overly friendly to me, but definitely not natural. Made me feel uncomfortable in the elevator. - The room's interior was pretty dated, doors have to be locked from the inside with the room key and they were so thin that the noise from the hallway bothered me greatly. - Garage near the hotel has no direct access and worse, the garage door needed repairing and was left wide open. Still the full price had to be paid. - Had to move my car a second time as the parking spot I first chose was already occupied. Given that I've called them a day before my arrival they could've just assign a parking spot to me at that time. - The Minibar was empty.
The location in a quiet street close to Hamburg University, spacious, clean, comfortable high-ceilinged room, good breakfast buffet. Good value for money.
Expensive internet access rates and no signal in my room on any of the three devices I had with me! Had to sit on a chair just inside the door to get signal. Staff said all base stations were working.
omg! I think it was called the fruhstucksraum or something like that, the breakfast room had a huge smorgasbord of food, breakfast was amazing servedin a beautiful elegant old world room, marble window sills. I asked for a quiet room and got a room overlooking the garden eventually and a huge old tree it was very quiet. My first day in europe and someone was playing classical violin nearby, it was magical. I was attending the congress centre, very close so if you are going to a congress centre event and don't want to spend big money and have an authentic german experience this is the place
I did request a quiet room and a pleasant aspect would be appreciated but I was initially allocated a dud of a room, when I explained that I would not be able to handle that room for 3 days after some argey bargey they did allocate me the much more pleasant garden facing room, so if you need a quiet room, request a garden facing room. No porters you will have to lug your own luggage up the steps to reception and if in another section of the building up the steps again to the ground floor but there is an elevator.
Decent location relative to City Center Close to S-Bahn, Bus, and U-bahn Quiet side street Hotel Bar open 24 hours Friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast a little expensive, did not get it because of price
No free internet! The payment for the internet connection is not possible on the hour bases; only for a whole day.
Location is perfect. Just close to university and lots of bars, restauranta and train station.
Room is big but unnecessarily diveded into two for living room part that makes badroom small. Not enough closets to set in. Pretty expensive. If i gave 50€ more i could stay 5 star hotel grand ellyse.
It was quiet and clean, breakfast provided a number of options. Staff were courteous.
delicacy, unpretentiousness, respect, tradition
Should have free wi fi in guest rooms!
Good position, large and clean room.
Low level of services, considering the price. No free wi-fi connection, even in the common areas. Too expensive breakfast considering variety and quality of the food.
Perfect situated near center town, nice quiet place. Brilliant breakfast
Attitude of staff - very helpful at accommodating client's needs Personal atmosphere Spacious well equipped rooms Character of building & rooms Cleanliness Well located & relaxed leafy area ca 20eurotaxi from airport Almost direct air-rail link only 3 euros.
Charge for internet Breakfast not included in discount price Shower regulator was faulty but staff immediately sought to get repaired Ca 10 min hike on foot from airport/rail link
one of the best hotels ever. Perfect location - close to city centre and to the lake, quiet , beautiful area. will come back
The room we got was very spacious including sofa, table and a balkony. The hotel is situated in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. Walking to the centre in less the 10 min.
Still no free Wi-Fi. (But in the lobby you can use the computer if you want, free of charge). The pillows are way too soft...Ask for an extra pillow :)
It's an old house and the rooms are big and have a beautiful high sealing. The beds were super comfortable and the bed sheets first class!
What is with the internet? It's so expensive and the worst system! And the staff was so unprepared, nobody could help! Breakfast was really nice, but also so expensive! Everything you need has an very high extra cost! At the end it's more expensive then other hotels! For business it's ok! But for tourists, look up something else!
I was upgraded to a beautiful traditional apartment. The staff was friendly and the service exceptional.
Noisy on final day of my stay due to construction work outside the building.
Everything, from the staff to the room and location. it was a very enjoying stay and would recommend it to anyone.
there is nothing to dislike about this hotek
clean, nice location, quite,
needs a fine tuning and a modernization somehow
Breakfast and reception staff
Central location, spacious and clean room.
Charges for wireless. Yes, it is listed in the description and I expected some charges, but ~15 EUR per day is a bit ridiculous in 2013.
