Compact old town centre (mostly reconstructed) with not much to see for tourists. Beethoven’s house was worth the visit though, we also enjoyed the Macke exhibition at the Art Museum. There were few decent restaurants around the town, we found an Italian, “Italiani” that served a good pizza. Lots of snacky places or SE Asian type food places. Seems to cater more for students. For us it was just an overnight staging post on a long journey, I couldn’t recommend staying there for any length of time (and if you do, give the hotel Lohndorf a miss…!).

I visit several times per year for work and it is always beautiful. I always see new parts of the city and it is always beautiful. IMO it is a great city and the public transportation makes it easy to get around without a car.

Much smaller than its close neighbour, Cologne, Bonn does not get behind in terms of its great history, multicultural feeling, amazing food and drink options, excellent variety and efficiency of public transportation system, excellent facilites for pedestrians and cyclers and vibrancy of overall urban life, even late at night. And it really gets forward in terms of great historic architecture, public spaces, safeness and costs. I really enjoyed the experience, even for a work trip, I just loved wandering around the historic center, the Rhine front, the central train station and all the way south to the World Conference Center and west to the Alter Friedhof. All I saw, lived, ate and bought was met with nice people, great spots for taking pictures and amazing experiences. Would have loved to stay longer, to visit its many museums.

A smaller, but vibrant and multicultural city, with an amazing assortment of attractions (of which visited few, due to a very tight time and budget, due to attending a congress in the city) and the best and most convenient public transportation system that I have seen. The historic center is amazingly beautiful, clean and ordered, the Rhine border is beautiful and if you love Beethoven or are interested about Post-War Germany, this is the place to be. Lastly, I come from a place where cities are deserted at night, so going to a place where people are just, safely, enjoying in the streets, eating out or clubbing was a really nice experience to live, as an urban planner.

From the little that I saw, the city is ok.
From the little that I saw, the city is ok. Lots of visible homelessness and drunkenness in the public open spaces though. As a lone female traveller this affected how safe I felt. It is not a city I would visit for a vacation. For business purposes it is ok.
This hotel has full of artistic/aesthetic character. Loved their "Living Room (Wohnzimmer)" where the breakfast was served, and you can go there any time just to relax on comfortable sofas, tables, interesting books, and on the balcony a swing for a couple! They have a game room with a retro look including the old Pac Man game machine that you can play on unlimitedly. LOL. Most rooms have their own balcony. This is where I will return to if I get to visit Bonn again in the future.
If you are coming to Bonn with your car, the hotel would be a good choice as it has a free parking lot. You can access to the city with a 20 min walk, that's not short but acceptable. There are no keys or cards, you just need a passcode to access the hotel and the room, that was convenient. In addition, it is also good that they eliminated the check-out process. Breakfast buffet was satisfying.
The hotel was convenient for what was needed which basically was a bed for night and breakfast. Reason was I was attending a meeting in the UN campus in Bonn which needed early starts and late ends. Room was fine but would be a bit small if you wanted comfort and somewhere to sit. Breakfast was ok, self service very samey each day so got a bit dull in the end.
Big rooms, sauna, outdoor heated swimming pool, and good options for eating. It's a luxury hotel. Their choice of handwash, shampoo and shower gel is good. Good quality of the bed and pillows. Free use of the crib was a plus. The view of the river from the room and also from the outdoor pool was fantastic.
The three-person room in the hotel has two rooms. Although there are only two people living there, the experience is very good. Especially after check-out, I helped to mail the missing items to Germany. I was very touched. I will go here next time on a business trip.
Our booking was canceled even though I did the on-line check-in as asked so we were left scrambling to find a hotel last minute. Luckily we had a car because we had to drive 45 minutes to find a hotel in our price range. Booking shouldn’t list this hotel.
Staff member went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. We got upgraded to a hotel room with a bigger bed instead of staying in an apartment rental with a smaller bed. Also gave us great tips on must-sees in Bonn!
Very convenient location just opposite the station, close to a variety of shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. Small gym which opens early (at 6) which I had to myself. Kettle in the room which is quite rare in Germany.
The place has a warm atmosphere, everything was very clean. Even if the hotel is situated next to a large street, my room was silent, so it is well isolated. It is close to the centre of Bonn.
The hotel’s location is a walking distance from the Bonn Hauptbahnhof station, the room is spacious for two people, healthy spread of breakfast and the owner is friendly and approachable.
For a European hotel the shower size is WONDERFUL! Excellent breakfast buffet. Very friendly and professional staff. Convenient location near the central part of Bonn.
Fantastic location close to city centre, especially if you use the underground passage to the train station. The room size was larger than other budget hotels.
