Reception area not welcoming. cluttered and untidy office. Being asked to pay up front for our room was a bit surprising.

The hotel is in a great location with easy walking access to all the delights of the old town. We were warmly greeted and throughout, the staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Our room was huge, the bed comfy, with pleny of chairs to sit round in and in the cold weather it was warm! The inclusive breakfast was always plentiful and tasty. We dined in the restaurant where the food was beautifully and imaginatively cooked and served with respectful friendliness.

Professional service with a human approach. Very comfortable room (No. 2) for a family with a two year old kid. Very nice and friendly atmosphere including with regard to the hotel's restaurant, which is a quite good option for dinner due to its cosy and warm atmosphere and a very interesting menu. Very good location of the Hotel in the heart if the old city with walking distance access to almost all of the attractions that are worth visiting. Eventhough we only stayed for one night (on the way to Brussels from Salzburg) the overall experience was very positive. We definitely are going to come back.

They gave us a room with a great view. And their courtyard and restaurant were beautifully decorated for the Chridrmas season. The staff were very considerate and helpful.

Central, a few minutes walking distance to the Christmas markets, shopping and the funicular to the Castle, good beds, clean big bedrooms and nice modern bathroom.

You have to go outside to access the breakfast room/bar and the reception area although it is a pretty courtyard. Not a problem in summer but cold in winter.

Tha location was convenient to the castle and shopping, however, there was some noise from the street below on Saturday night. We really enjoyed our stay though!

Breakfast choice on Monday morning was poor, but I don't believe there were many guests so I can understand why.

You have to like the bell tower....strikes every 15 minutes and on the hour.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the surroundings. The room was clean, comfortable and up to date. The restaurant was amazing. The location was perfect!

The hotel was modern, clean and well managed. The food (breakfast was included with our room) was fresh and well prepared, including a mixture of locally baked breads and rolls, as well as meats, cheeses, eggs and wursts. The staff was very friendly, english-speaking and more than willing to help us with our very limited German speaking capability. Sebastian was the manager for the days we stayed at Hotel Zur Alten Brucke. We could not have asked for warmer better service from Sebastian and the entire staff.

This was such a pleasant surprise. Location could not be better, right at the Old Bridge, a few minutes from the Market Square and close to the castle. The rooms had recently been renovated and were very modern and functional. The breakfast was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. This is a place I would like to return to !

I liked everything. The hotel does not have parking so you have to park 5 minutes away, but that comes with the location. A hotel with parking does not have the same good location, and I would chose location anytime.

The location is excellent and there is the added benefit of a quality restaurant attached to the hotel. We ate there on three nights and it appears to be a place where the natives come to eat, which is always a good sign. While the booking.com website stated that our room was 16 square metres, in fact it was more than double that. In addition, WiFi is available throughout the hotel and not just in the public areas as stated on the site. A minor quibble is that there are some rather odd changes of level in the corridors. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel staff is very attentive.

Parking is a bit far and it´s complicated to get the baggages from the car in front of the hotel.

We were upgraded to a suite since the room we reserved was sold out. The guy at the main desk (Sebastian) was super friendly and kindly told us about the breakfast included in our room rate. The suite was extremely spacious and clean. I also liked the fact that they closed the main doors and gave us a code to enter to open the doors after 10pm as safety precautions.

The only thing I would say the hotel could improve is that the rug in our suite was quite dirty - maybe running it through the washing machine upon the guests arrival

Friendly staff - great restaurant and smack in middle of town. Could not fault it .............
