Great location near train station and old town

No coffee maker or hot water in the roomp

Almost everything was good, such as location, breakfast, staff, modern fanctional room, room rate and so on. In particular, the location was good. I could easily access to central station, historically important places, old city center and shopping centers.

Air conditioned and convenient.

Lifts inadequate and you can wait a long time to get one. Internet is not free and very, very expensive. I used Starbuck wi-fi across the road.

The location

The lifts were old and cranky and one feared they may get stuck at any moment. One afternoon by 16h00 my room had not been made yet. Another afternoon a cleaner barged into my room at 16h30 although it was on security lock. Seeing me asleep on my bed she did not beat a quiet retreat, but proceeded to loudly ask me, if I still needed anything? Otherwise still very East German style of hotel. Generally, the staff was not very friendly.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. A good variety of cheap and cheerful take-out food places nearby (we have a young baby).

Most of the staff were brilliant. However, one bad experience sadly sticks in the memory. To cut a long story short, one of the ladies on reception was incredibly rude and unaccommodating when it came to our request for a kettle to warm water for our 8-month-old's bottle. It seemed as if it were a major inconvenience for her to speak English to us. I subsequently witnessed the same employee interacting in a very congenial manner with other more "local" guests. Isn't Ibis an "international" hotel chain? Like I said, most staff at the hotel great, but one staff member's xenophobia sadly tarnished our stay. For this reason we will not be back, nor will we recommend the hotel to others. Ibis needs to ensure that their employees treat guests equally, regardless of the language they speak or the country they hail from.

De ligging dicht bij het station en op loopafstand het historische centrum. Kamer en ontbijt goed; geen kritische opmerkingen te maken. NB Door verbouwing van Ibis Konigstein werd ik overgeboekt naar Ibis Bastei

Gute, zentrale Lage und netter Service.

Außer der Lage, die für mich gut war, kann man das Hotel vergessen. Die Zimmer sind eine Zumutung.

Hotelmitarbeiter unfreundlich; nicht einmal die minimalstern Höflichkeiten werden erbracht: kein Gruß, keine Frage nach der Zufriedenheit, nur schnelles Abfertigen um den Gast möglichst rasch wieder los zu werden.

Lage des Hotels in der Stadtmitte Dresdens, günstiger Ausgangspunkt zu den Ausflugszielen bzw. Sehenswürdigkeiten

Service an der Rezeption war etwas reserviert, könnte freundlicher sein, Frühstücksraum ist von der Gestaltung dunkel, Frühstücksangebot für uns nicht vielfältig genug (Obstangebote wenig Auswahl, Angebot an kleinen warmen Snacks ebenfalls wenig)
