The air conditioning in my room did not work and upon my 7 days stay it was not repaired. This, combined with the fact that the window could not be opened, made the air in my room stuffy and hot (being top floor as well), with no way of refreshing it.
Two receptionists in particular have been downright hostile, unfriendly, bored, unhelpful, bordering on rude. In fact I could hear one swearing repeatedly in the office behind the Reception board, after I came to report, in a very polite and considerate manner, that the air conditioning was not working and the window couldn't be opened. They acted as if the customers were adding to their "natural" misery... totally unprofessional!
My room, albeit located on the top floor (7), was facing the boulevard at the front, and it was noisy from the street traffic (including trams), so if you are a light sleeper (like me), you will probably need ear plugs; however, even so you will be able to hear the street noise... The sound insulation is poor, despite their claims of soundproofing.
The hotel is very clean, the cleaners very friendly and polite.
Only one receptionist (tall, distinguished, "old school" gentleman) was very nice and helpful with tourist advice upon my arrival.
Location of the hotel is in a good neighbourhood, safe residential area, although you need to walk about 7-10 minutes to the closest tube or bus station.
I also appreciated the size of the shower and bathtub, which are more generous than in some 5 stars hotels. Generally speaking, the bathroom in this hotel seems to be the best feature! ;-)
