This modern, 3-star hotel and hostel in Berlin’s trendy Friedrichshain district is across from Warschauer Strasse Train Station. It features an Italian restaurant, indoor pool, and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 3615 reviews Very good
Just a 10 minute walk from the East Side Gallery and the historic Oberbaumbrücke Bridge, this hostel in the lively district of Friedrichshain enjoys excellent connections to sights across the capital....
Score from 733 reviews Good
The Cat's Pajamas Hostel is in Kreuzkölln, Berlin's coolest neighbourhood. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the entire hostel.
Score from 824 reviews Excellent
Located directly on the Landwehr Canal in the colourful and trendy Kreuzberg area of the city, this large hostel offers bright rooms, free Wi-Fi and free private parking spaces.
Score from 599 reviews Good
Interesting crowd of fellow residents. Spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Personal list for bed, electric socket close by. Sink in room. Great foyer in reception area to hang out. Incredibly clean toilets and showers. One of the best hostels I've stayed in!
Nothing to criticise!
The bar was great, hot receptionist.
Internet was terrible
If your young and wanna see the cool side of berlin stay here great location lots of good clubs nearby and the hostel is great.
You have to pay for linen and towels but it's a minor hindrance
The hostel is just facing the metro station and most importantly, it's right in the middle of a street surrounded by clubs and 24/7 fast food restaurants ;)
You have to pay to get WiFi in your room.
Location is perfect! 50 meters to U-bahn and 100 to S-bahn
It was quite chilly in the room
- atmosphere - cool people, use of main hall as you want and how you want - cheap drinks at main hall
- if you need a quiet for relaxing it's not the right place, there are a lot of cheerful youngs-children :)
They gave us a nice dorm room that we ended up having all to ourselves. That was pretty cool!
Couldn't stand having a smoking lobby... Also there were lots of kids there.
Nice and helpful staff. Very clean and cosy hostel. Great location for clubbers!
Cleaning staff comes into the room in the morning to clean and even vacuum while you are sleeping ...
clean and fresh facilities
that they did not manage to get people that knew each other in the same rooms even though we called weeks before to tell them and the day before
Good places if you wavt to party but at the same time get a good night sleep
The hostel is placed in a great location both to visit the city and to have a clubs tour. We was a 5-group of friends and the room with the private bathroom was enough spacious for all of us. Beds are very comfy and, also if the hostel is located in front of the metro station, the room is really quiet. I would absolutely advice this hostel.
free wi-fi not available in the room. lack of hairdryer in the bathrooms (but is available at the reception with a small deposit)
awesome location if you want to go to bars and happening clubs like waterloo, suicide circus, berghain..They all are just 10mins walk from the hostel.. the Berlin wall is 5 mins away by walk ,so is the lake..its the perfect location ..the train station and tube station and tram stops are 5 mins by walk..You can get food & drinks all night .Just outside the hostel is the doner kabab place thats open all night. The hostel lobby is very cool..you can chill there with a beer or coffee etc, play billiards, cook in the kitchen...the rooms are big, super clean and big windows ..the common showers & toilets on the floor were always clean. The staff is super friendly , helpful, patient. Lisa is a darling. she was always smiling and eager to help.. so were the other 3 guys there.. i forgot the names :-( sorry !! but they too were a great help when i needed directions or information etc .I totally recommend this place...and its quite cheap..you wont regret it ....
few observations?suggestions 1)when we travel on a budget , we look for price that includes everything. Here we need to pay extra for sheets which i didnt realise or notice when i did the booking..We can get our own sheets but who does that ..Its best to include it in the overall cost. 2) It would be nice to have a tea kettle and few cups in each room to make tea when we wake up..If not, we have to get ready and come down to the kitchen for it..Morning tea in the room would be bliss !!! :-) 3) the plug points to charge the cellphone is on the floor away from the beds..so if you want tobe in bed and chat while its getting charged ,its not possible..you will have sit on the floor to do that. Not a big inconvenience at all but in another hostel i stayed in , there were plugs attached to each bed near the pillow side which helped ..
Good location - clubs, bars etc; Big rooms - that was the main reason to choose this hostel; Showers, toilets - every thing pretty good.
No free internet in the room; Separate price for bed sheet and towels - but it seems to be everywhere in Berlin. As the result the final cost will be a bit higher than you expect. Especially when you are going to stay only for one night.
Cleanliness Quieter of the hostels in the area spacious
That Wifi was only for downstairs or if purchased, only one person in your room could access it at a time.
This hostel was awesome. Met some great people and other solo travelers who were interested in the same thing I was. The staff was awesome. Helped me with everything I needed. Only thing I had trouble with was the washing machine because it was all in German, but wasn't a problem at all. I was able to talk to people and figure it out. Easy tram ride into the city and in a great area for bars, pubs, and clubs for those interested.
Lobby was cool with the music all night long
Great location to discover East Side Gallery, techno clubs such as Bergain and Tresor and some squats are nearby. Not a place for business people, but good place for people who want to experience underground Berlin. Street is quite busy, but gives a great vibe of the area. Overall, good value for money and the staff is nice.
Breakfast was quite poor, wifi in the lobby was quite slow
I was starting in the hostel for one night.I really liked my stay there..Great staff ..clean sheets good location.
The only thing I would change is a bit more light in the lobby in the evening. When using the Wi-Fi in the evening the light was a bit poor ..it was a bit uncomfortable to read in that little light.
A little bit noisy as it is beside to the road. But i do not think it matter
Very clean, good kitchen, key card access, awesome location- next to U bahn and on warschauerstrasse
Had to pay for wifi if you wanted it in your room, staff were a little bit unfriendly, very sterile environment- not atmosphere
The staff was incredibly helpful!
location is good,close to ostbahnhouf
they want money for wi-fi the beds were bad
i loved the location - so close to the most vibrant and interesting areas of Berlin (in my opinion!) with exellent travel links (right opposite the station) the staff were very friendly, spacious rooms and met some really lovely people.
That the wifi played up a bit and my key card stopped working on my second to last day.
It was ok
The fact that i visited Berlin in a middle of a heat wave and the windows in my room were locked every morning while i was out. When i asked for the keys they were telling me each day i had to wait until 6pm for the security personel to unlock the windows in my room. No aircondition of course, nothing. I was furious. This was unacceptable.
- Location is superb - Staff on the desk were great - Toilets / Showers new and clean - Good atmosphere - 24h Reception was useful
- Pillows a little too thin
