Located across from Mainz's Main Train Station, Hotel Königshof offers a 24-hour front desk and soundproofed rooms with free Wi-Fi. Buses, trams and S-Bahn (light rail) trains are right outside.

Centrally in Mainz, just 300 ft from the main train station, this family-run, non-smoking hotel features a free sauna and free Wi-Fi internet access.
Score from 251 reviews Excellent
This 4-star-Superior hotel features air-conditioned rooms and a spa area with an indoor swimming pool. It is in the center of Mainz, a 10-minute walk from the main train station.

Score from 445 reviews Good
nice rooms close to train station
worst wifi I have ever had in any hotel (let alone a 4 star hotel). Uploading a 10MB powerpoint to my dropbox took 30 minutes....
Not comfortable during summer and winter. Always small breeze of air flow in the room around the bed, which disturbs sleeping.
For a small space, the design was really good. Space on either side of sink wasn't vast, but it was enough that my husband and I each had a place for our necessities. Plenty of power receptacles. Clean room, close to the train station. Staff was always helpful.
Wish it had a better design for the walk from train station to hotel and back.
1. The staff is excellent 2. The room clean and warm
The Staff The Breakfast
Location Wifi that actually works Good breakfast Brilliant staff Cleanliness Good bathrooms
It appeared there was a rationing of towels and pillows but nothing that could not be solved.
Staff was nice, location was ideal, and breakfast was nice.
Pay for parking, pay for enternet, room was small and the TV was low end.
This is the second time we have stayed. Very convenient to the train station and then off to Frankfurt the next morning. Also easy to navigate from the hotel to the shopping area.
Two nights before our stay the rate was over 200euro per night. We had to wait until the morning of our arrival to book the room and the rate dropped to 112 euro.
The isolation of the room is very good so one can sleep properly.
The temperature of the room is hard to adjust as the thermostat is not digital. They place a bottle of water inside the room in a shelve, with a label saying, are you thirsty? Then pay 3.90 euros!!! It seems a really unfortunate joke to find yourself in that situation after traveling a far distance. The room is like a 3 start hotel, not 4 stars at all. The "free" WiFI is extremely slow, even to load Gmail and send mails is super slow. If you want better WiFI, you have to pay more!!
Clean, friendly staff. Very good breakfast.
To small a bar area which was not manned that much. Not enough sitting area in foyer or bar.
free public transport, Parking
I liked the quiet room even though the hotel was very busy. The room was very clean and comfortable.I loved being able to turn down the heat with convenient air-con and instructions! The hotel is beside a bus stop and also just a short walk to the city centre.
The breakfast was mediocre and I thought it was a bit expensive. The staff found it hard to cope with an influx of people at the same time, with a shortage of food and clean plates.
Location, bed, sober.
You will have to fight for your right to get full breakfast if you arrive at the breakfast room later than one hour before closing. Then if you do so, be ready to be watched at by the whole personal like if you would be an extra-terrestrial. Also to get in touch in the evening with the front desk was impossible.
Rooms Bathroom Bed Location Breakfast Staff Price
Lovely bathroom, comfortable mattress and better pillows than other German accommodations. Nice breakfast.
slow free WiFi, and A/C was pumping heat unless window was open in first night's room, so we had to leave window open and get noise and fumes from busy highway not 100 feet away. No help until next day, and no compensation for lousy night.
1.Rooms 2.Cleaneness 3.Location
Small and overcrouded lobby
Proximity to train station and city were superb. We were also very well pleased with the wifi.
Our bathroom had a VERY foul odor. We were uncertain if it was a sewer gas smell or something else, but it was strong, especially so in the shower.
Close to train station
WiFi was a problem. Only one device could be connected at slow speeds.
few steps to the bus station, easy to access the city shopping center, nice staff, good service and room
the construction of the rooms at the building conner is a little strange, not convenient to move.
The hotel is so convenient for the station transport hub with free pass for tram & bus. Spacious accommodation with superb bathroom. Very little noise. Good choice in restaurant.
No tea/coffee maker in room.
clean, good location, kind staffs
wifi is slow
Proximity to train station Quiet Comfortable
No automated check out and hotel staffed seemingly overwhelmed by fact many guests check out in morning.
The hotel is a short walk from the main train station. I especially liked the public transportation passes, that the hotel provided.
Staff were really good and helpful. Restaurant had good choice and food was tasty and well presented. Free pass for local public transport. Was a short wall from the station. Comfortable bed.
Free wifi was slow and limited. There were paid options which provided a better service. Checkout queue was very long so came back later in the morning.
Location! Location! Location! The hotel is just next to the central station of Mainz and you can reach it in 5 minutes walking. The room is quite clean and modern. It is a good bargain.
Housekeeping was around 8'0 clock and the cleaner just open the door when I was still sleeping.
