Located across from Mainz's Main Train Station, Hotel Königshof offers a 24-hour front desk and soundproofed rooms with free Wi-Fi. Buses, trams and S-Bahn (light rail) trains are right outside.

On the Rhine River, the Hilton Mainz has recently been completely renovated. It features air-conditioned rooms and an international restaurant.
Score from 465 reviews Very good
Proximity to train station and city were superb. We were also very well pleased with the wifi.
Our bathroom had a VERY foul odor. We were uncertain if it was a sewer gas smell or something else, but it was strong, especially so in the shower.
Close to train station
WiFi was a problem. Only one device could be connected at slow speeds.
The hotel is so convenient for the station transport hub with free pass for tram & bus. Spacious accommodation with superb bathroom. Very little noise. Good choice in restaurant.
No tea/coffee maker in room.
clean, good location, kind staffs
wifi is slow
Proximity to train station Quiet Comfortable
No automated check out and hotel staffed seemingly overwhelmed by fact many guests check out in morning.
The hotel is a short walk from the main train station. I especially liked the public transportation passes, that the hotel provided.
Staff were really good and helpful. Restaurant had good choice and food was tasty and well presented. Free pass for local public transport. Was a short wall from the station. Comfortable bed.
Free wifi was slow and limited. There were paid options which provided a better service. Checkout queue was very long so came back later in the morning.
Location! Location! Location! The hotel is just next to the central station of Mainz and you can reach it in 5 minutes walking. The room is quite clean and modern. It is a good bargain.
Housekeeping was around 8'0 clock and the cleaner just open the door when I was still sleeping.
A bit noisy
Very clean , near the university hospital about 1km from Resturants, helpfull staff.
Wi Fi very very slow
No room service Unfriendly staff Horrible restaurant a-la-carte food
a newly decorated Intercity Hotel - clean and comfortable. surprisingly quiet even if right next to the train tracks.
free wifi is so slow it's almost not working and you have to pay if you want faster connection. parking is rather expensive at 15 eur a day.
Clean and staff was friendly. It had a good location, that was close to the train station.
Breakfast was pretty expensive.
We took the train to Binger and a boat from there to Bobppard. Then a train back, with stops along the way. Hotel provides free city tram tickets
WiFi was slow and the beds very hard
Modern room. Very clean. Good sleeping environment
Expensive breakfast. Expensive coffee. "Free " wifi did not work. If you need internet upgrade for a price!
The hotel was very clean. The staff were kind and helpful. It's in a great location with easy access to the tram line.
We have been there for a concert and it is a very great place to stay. Good qulity of the rooms, clean and Close to the main Station.
The transport ticket was a nice perk! Room space was enough for a family with two young children (including a baby cot)
There were nothing to do in the surroundings, but thanks to the bus ticket you can go quickly to the city centre and enjoy the city.
Really convenient location right across from the main train (and tram) station. Easy to walk down to the city center. There is a gas station and a small shop a 2 minute walk down the road (turn left heading out of the hotel) to find breakfast food on the cheap.
The internet was free, but slow enough to be rendered almost useless.
great location. we went for the elton john concert in Mainz. the front desk staff gave us free public transit tickets and wrote directions for us to get to the venue! very clean, like new. great choice!
the bed was a little hard.
The most comfortable hotel beds ever! Most of the staff friendly, professional and very helpful. Clean, bright rooms. Excellent location, walking distance from the station. Free pass for public transport in Mainz and Wiesbaden for the duration of our stay.
Some minor points: Only one WiFi device per room can be connected at any time - admittedly only a problem if traveling with teenagers... No British to European electrical adaptors, although a helpful member of staff managed to find a German charger for my son's tablet.
The hotel is well located to most transportation. Facilities are clean and very adequate. The restaurant leaves much to be desired especially the buffet.
Restaurant was not very good. Food choices were limited and they ran out of food at one point.
- great breakfest
For train travellers as we were, the hotel was perfectly situated. It is, however, a little way from the centre of Mainz, but the hotel gave us free tram passes. Very good value for money
No problem with the hotel. Mainz itself, was a disappointment though.
free ticket for public transport
