Score from 167 reviews Very good
Hospitality, comfort and relaxed ambience. So many things to do - or not - depending on your preferences. We loved the heated pool which spanned across both he outdoors and indoors. Swimming outside whilst snow is falling was a magical experience.
Absolutely beautiful location, very friendly staff ready to serve. So many things to do at the hotel and nearby, you hardly need to leave!
For the cost, great WiFi should be included in the price. The same can be said for parking; it seemed silly to have to pay for it by the day.
all was totally perfect, I could not share the negative comments from other clients about internet
The views, location and luxury.
That we couldn't stay longer!
Employees were absolutely first class. They were all very helpful, engaging and did their jobs extremely well. The facility was outstanding and the location (with sunny weather) was sublime.
amazing location for views excellent Spa good food very comfortable rooms
all good just too bad the weather wasn't
The location and facilities. The restaurant staff.
The reception process. The reception and checkout staff were inattentive and not particularly friendly.
For the money, the internet should have been at its best without charge.
Location, Facilities including room quality,Spa and infinity outdoor pool - view from our room - proximity to Saltzburg and mountain and lake walks.
An absolutely stunning hotel with amazing views of the Obersalzburg and beyond. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing, it felt like our stress was evaporating the minute we arrived. Beautiful Pool and Spa, Exceptional food in the 360 restaurant, fantastic breakfasts. It is possible in good weather to have both breakfast and dinner on the terrace in full sun. Courtesy mini bar....soft drinks and snacks. Great selection of tea and coffee. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Nice walks straight from the hotel and 300 yards from the bus stop for the Eagles Nest. The hotel very much plays down the link it's location has with the Third Reich (the hotel is built on the site of Hermann Goring's house and close to where Hitler's Berghof was sited) However, its location is fascinating for someone interested in that period of history and every credit should go to ihg for investing in a top quality resort to bring tourists and positive life back to a mountain that has such a chequered history. Our visit exceeded our already high expectations.
A couple of negatives, that link very much to our Britishness!! There is no fresh milk in the rooms, only powdered milk sachets for tea (yuk!!) The other guests in the Sauna/Spa (not pool) were naked..a bit disconcerting for us conservative Brits. But you have been warned!!
Location, food, staff, clean, everything
Everything ☆☆☆☆☆ One of the best 10 hotels I've been to. Every single detail. Staff, cleanness, service, room, facilities, location.
Excellent, friendly staff. The food was very good.
The hotel felt 'clinical' with absolutely no local ambiance. Free WiFi is slow and billing for the faster service can be confusing. The hotel is a long way outside of town. If you do not arrive by car you will need to rely on buses and taxis.
We booked Berchtesgaden resort by a chance when heading to Austria from Slovenia. As a history enthusiast, I wanted to visit Eagle's Nest, so this resort came out. No idea how this level of resort could have been built in such of location, but it was mind blowing. Starting from service: once we stopped our car front of the entrance, hotel manager ran out (somehow leaving the feeling we went back to 30s) to greet, and welcome to his hotel. We left keys to a butler who took care of our vehicle, bringing it to carage underground. The manager then escorted us to reception, where the staff took care of us including glass of champagne, and brief introduction of the place. Second: the view. We had bad luck with weather, but still the views to the mountains, over the hills were spectacular. The Eagle's Nest actually can be seen straight from the hotel, when there's less clouds. Third: The spa. I've been working years in spa resort company, and this was probably top3 spa hotel experience so far. It was luxury, but with german simplicity, so you felt yourself home. The staff didn't make difference if you were 60 or 30 years old, and they even opened their shop just for me so I can buy myself a swimwear just a moment before spa was closing. Outdoor pool is over 30celsius, and you can take a bath watching the mountains and skyline above. Fourth: Location. Just 5mins walk to the bus stop and ticket sales to reach the Eagle's Nest, as well as visit Berchtesgaden Documentary. For golfers, there's a beautiful course just down to the valley, and for skiers, lots of slopes nearby. Sixth: The restaurants. They have five of them, and even experiencing just the "basic" one, "360", it was a blast.
We were there just one night!
Location, ambience, spa & pool facilities
Lovely hotel and exceptionally beautiful location
The food was under quality , maybe 3 star only.
Everything was absolutely super!
One of the best hotels I have ever been to. Wonderful conditions; delightful spa; excellent gastronomy; courteous service in an incredible alpine location.
I would appreciate if the breakfast buffet was included in the room price. Besides that, all is perfect!
Splendid room with a great view of the Alps. Easy free parking lot. Terrific location to visit the Eagles' Nest or Konnigsee. Helpful staff. Excellent business/computer center. Large and spacious room and closets.
Two of four restaurants were not open.
Very nice hotel. I consider this place as my home and I planning to spend very good time here from time to time
Every single detail was fantastic. Location, staff, facilities, food .. eveything was as you wish. I liked every moment I spent there. Location location location
It is one of the best hotels i have visited.
The menu in restaurant 360 was not that exiting .. Including the breakfast ..
