No air conditioning, so room was hot and stuffy, so we tried to keep the window open, but twice a huge bee flew in, so we were forced to just crack the window, which made it unbearably hot. Other than that, the room was comfortable, so I rated it 5 instead of 4. I know that most hotels in Germany don't have air conditioning because it's rare when it gets too hot, but this is when I give it a 5, if a hotel provides air conditioning for that rare heat wave. The hotel is located in a newly developed area, so it is like being in the middle of nowhere. Everyone else who stayed there had a car so no problem for them. Even tho we didn't have a car, it wasn't that bad walking 10 minutes to the bus stop, but we noticed no one ever got on or got off at our stop and even once a bus driver waited to see if we really wanted to get off at that stop. We found it amusing that even the locals didn't realize there was a new hotel in that area.
This was one of the most reasonably priced hotels we stayed at in Germany. Very clean, lots of convenient pluses like many outlets and good storage arrangement, great breakfast, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and great internet service for free (rare in Europe). I mention in the "didn't like" section that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but I want to point out that this was a huge plus for us since it was very quiet at night, allowing to us to sleep peacefully, even with the window open.
