Loved it. The Jakob family is warm and welcoming. Their sauna facility is awesome, especially after a long day of sightseeing/skiing/hiking or whichever reason that brought you here. I also loved the breakfast. Best family run hotel I have been to.

Hotel Jakob was more a Guest house than a Hotel, no bar or public rooms. No TWIN rooms, double bed with separate mattresses and duvets, not quite the same thing. Apart from breakfast no staff visible.

Tucked away location, but can walk to Fussen city center. Liked free Internet, parking, breakfast (though wasn't exciting food).

Rude check out experience. Charged for pets, which was a surprise! Heat didn't work in room so we were freezing. Reserved a room with two separate beds, but only got one bed which really was inconvenient.

The staff at Hotel Jakob were very pleasant and helpful and the location so accessible to town yet far enough out for peace and quiet.

You really need to be careful if u want to book this hotel, its big risk to damage your good mood for vacation! After got the confirmation for a standroom claims on 1st or 2nd floor,when u check in, u could be led to a underground basement room with dark light and old furniture! The owner will only tell u" this is the only room I have, I can do nothing. U can choose to take or not as every hotel is fully booked now" That's exactly happened to us! The hotel owner has no comitment on the booking at all! They overbooked their resource to ensure their room fulfill rate. In our all conversation, they never direct answer my q on why I got their confirmation for the stand room in1st or 2nd floor while they said all rooms are occupied! They even ask us to go out looking for other hotel ! Even worse is, The male owner even shoot at us, said we damage their dating (oh my god, how can he said that?! Why he complain before our complain on damage our vacation? If they handle the booking properly, who gonner to call them back? Its themselves damage their dating not us!) he also complain that they cant rent out that basement room twice when we go for dinner as our luggage is in the room( u can imagine how they treat their customer, they even want to rent that basement when they are fixing our issue!) he even shout some German words with very bad mood, everyone can imagine what kind of word he would say! It's really rude and unpolite! It's really disappointed!

The staff were really helpful, giving us a guest card which saved us some money on local attractions, and always checking if we were ok or if we needed anything.

As a suggestion, the information in the room (the book) could be translated to English too :)

Hotel Jakob was a typical Bavarian hotel in looks- the rooms were adequate sized. The bathroom had a heated towel bar, loved it! The beds were made up with crisp white bedding and the duvets kept us warm and comfortable. The breakfast was a European breakfast, but a variety of food, fruit and the young man serving us quite solicitous. Family owned and operated- you can tell from the service. Would love to stay here again!

The guesthouse is absolutely warm and very comfortable. The interior is very well combined with taste and color.

Great customer service from the owner couple. They are just great! Very friendly, very helpful. We cant thank them enough.

The room was clean, the staff were all friendly. The bed was sooooo comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recomend this hotel to anyone we know travelling to this area.

The only downside we found was that there was no fridge in the room and no Tea or Coffee facilities on the room.

The hotel was small, friendly and welcoming and the staff was excellent. The location was only only a short walk to the village and a short drive to the castles and other sites. The breakfast was excellent and it was just a short walk to an good venue for dinner.

I could not recommend this wonderful hotel enough, we were treated like friends. Nothing was too much bother especially when it came to re- accommodating us after checking out on a snowy Easter Sunday morning, loading up our car only to discover it was very sick! Gertrud and Micheal Jakob found another room for us, where we ended up staying an additional 4 nights and helped us with garage breakdown and everything to make are enforced stay a delight. They really are the most phenomenal hosts and I will not stay anywhere else when we return to Fussen, which by the way is the most wonderful town to stay in!
